It's a Boo-tiful Monday!

It's a Boo-tiful Monday here at Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker and I have some really fun projects to share in getting ready for one of my very favorite holidays: Halloween.  I think I have more fun scrapbooking photos for this festive celebration than any other holiday.  How can you not love black, orange, purple and green all mixed up together???  I'm getting a little giddy anticipating the end of this month and another year of photos.  What are your super cute little stinkers going to be this year?
Aren't these Boo-tiful papers and embellishments so much fun???  I love the bright colors mixed with the distressing and the ghosts are pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself.   Perfect for my little spooky girl.  She loves this holiday as much as I do and still insists on wearing her costumes all year round.
I mixed one of Nikki's cute little Craft Flags in with the ghosts and added the sentiment, "Boo!"  I also inked the edges with some chalk ink to make the white flag stand out more against the spooky white ghost.  Then I tied on a little polka dot bow for some added fun.
Nikki's Burlap Buttons make the perfect finishing touch by adding a little interest and texture to the layout.  The thing I love most about these, is you just stick the little suckers right onto the project.  No sewing necessary and no need to add adhesive.  I also used my Cricut to cut this shape in the striped paper to break up the squareness of the layout and then used the shadow feature to cut the black mat.
Nikki adds so many cute embellishments right into her papers.  I used a 1 1/2 inch circle punch to pull this pumpkin out of one of the papers.  Then I inked the edges and pop-dotted it to make it stand out more.
This card completely cracks me up!  I used one of the chipboard ghosts from Nikki's awesome Ghost Mini album that is currently being featured in this month's Creating Keepsake Magazine (see below).  I am a big fan of Nikki's 6x6 patterned papers and this striped paper is the perfect background for this spooky little guy.  I cut the sign from the embellishment page in Nikki's Boo-tiful papers and added the sentiment with some of her sticker letters from the Tree Love Collection.
Can you see it in the Number 1 spot???  We are all very excited about being featured, especially since we know how much fun Nikki's Chipboard Mini Albums are.  Make sure you check out the others HERE.
I'll close it out with one more card.  I can't seem to get enough of these frightening little ghosts, so I had to add them to the bottom of this card along with a big "Boo" sentiment which I cut with my Cricut using more of the 6x6 Boo-tiful patterned papers.  Hope you all have as much fun creating this month as I am...and don't forget to grab some of Nikki's Boo-tiful collection before it is all gone :)

Thank you so much for stopping by - Liz

I {heart} fall

Yes, I {heart} Fall!
Anyone else agree?
Rae Barthel here today, wishing you
'it's almost fall' greetings
from northern Alabama.
We have had one HOT summer here,
many days in the 100's, so to say
that I am anxious for Fall is
definitely an understatement!!
Growing up in the Midwest (Illinois)
nurtured my love for the Fall season.
Hay rides, bonfires, playing football
in the front yard, taking walks and
listening to the crunching leaves,
hoodies, raking leaves...
aahhhhh, such fabulous memories.

Today I am sharing my love of Fall
with you through some cards
that I made with the
"Tree Love" collection.

So grab your mug of hot apple cider,
wrap up in that light quilt,
and enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed these Fall
cards and you feel inspired to
create some Fall projects yourself!

Happy Fall y'all!!
xoxo

Falling in Love....

With the “Tree Love” line, it’s my favorite line at the moment. I have made a couple of cards using Tree Love that I would like to share with you.
I used the Mini-Pad, Cardstock Sticker Sheet and Bucky’s Cut-Ups to make these cards. The mini-pad design includes all papers from one line but in a small format, so awfully handy for making cards.

For the basis of the cards I used kraft cardstock, that fits so well with the colors of “Love Tree”. I do a lot of paper-piercing and (hand) stitching on the cards. I've also used a leather lace for a cool accent.

Another great line is blueberry hill

For this card I used the mini-pad (blue diamond). The curves are cut from the Circle die cut. The sun and the text are from the Shortcuts-up sheet what is part of the paper line.

Again using Blueberry Hill, the letters and the tab are from the matching stickersheet.

Thanks for visiting today and have a great weekend, Lea

Blueberry and a little Tree Love....

Hey Everyone....I just have one question...is it HOT where you are? This heat is about to get the best of me. I am a winter girl....bring on the snow!!! But before we can do that we have to celebrate Fall!

I was lucky to get to work with the Tree Love collection for CHA projects! I ADORE this line.
And the addition of the cardstock stickers and the letters is so fun!!! You get a lot of letters (big and mini!) that you can use on multiple projects. And the fun stickers too!!! So, here is one of my layouts that I did with this line....I love the color in the Fall. I might have "tweaked" the color a little in these pics, but I am not telling!!!

And that beaver?? WELL, the entire design team has decided that beaver ROCKS!!!!! I just wanna hug him....maybe we could get Nikki to do a stuffed animal out of him!?! LOL LOL
Here is a close up....and yes....that is the way I feel about summer!!! Those Craft Flags are great for picketing signs!!! hee hee

And for Blueberry Hill, I created a fun little card!!! Have you ever made an easel card?? I hadn't until this one. It is super easy and fun to do. If you would like a tutorial on it....leave a message in the comments and maybe I can get one on here if there is enough interest. It lays flat to give and then it stands on it's own, so that you can enjoy it after receiving it!!! (sorry I didn't get a pic of it flat!)

I hope I have inspired you to create some fun Nikki projects!!!! And remember, if you make something with Nikki Sivils products, you could be featured here by our Blog Hostess with the Mostest....Julie Tucker Wolek! Just make sure and let us know!!!!

Have a Scrappy Kind of Day!!~~Katrina

My Favourite Time of Year

Hi, Anna here with todays post.

In the UK its a very busy time of the year for farmers, and living surrounded by farms we watch Harvest season with joy! I am a born and bred townie, living in the country for the past 5 years has been a life changing experience, and I am loving it! Love the slower pace, love the scenery, love that my girls wake up to fresh country air every morning, love that we have great walks on our doorstep for our new addition to our family, Suki our English Springer Spaniel.
Oops got a bit carried away with nostalgia, LOL!

With all this new scenary surrounding me, it makes for great photograph opportunities, which in turn make for great scrapbook layouts! When my box of product arrived from Nikki, and I eyespied "Tree Love" I was in heaven,a photoshoot was in order.
Harvest - Tree Love

This photo is of my eldest daughter, and I just knew the colours from Nikki Sivils new line would just be perfect. A simple layout of layers and carefully placed embellishments are all this layout needed. I am so happy that Nikki has introduced alphabet stickers to her new lines, I am an alphabet hoarder.

Nikki's fab diecut sheets are so versatile and I used my trusty scalloped punch to punch out the heart tree diecut on my layout.

Supplies : Nikki Sivils Tree Love papers, Nikki Sivils alphabet stickers, Nikki Sivils stickers, Nikki Sivils diecut sheet

Falling for You - Tree Love

I have used the same simple design for my layout, but have added a 1/4 sheet of the shaped paper and a felt strip. I love to add dimension to my pages, so most of the diecut shapes I have added will have some 3d love!

Have I told you how much I love the diecut sheets! I cut out this cute Beaver and the tree from the "Tree Love" diecut sheet.

Supplies : Nikki Sivils Tree Love papers, Nikki Sivils diecut sheet, Nikki Sivils stickers
Check out this sketch I did for last months sketch challenge, to achieve a similar design. I ahve just chosen to make my paper strips much wider; the beauty of sketches!
I can see me using this product line over and over again, so much fun. Roll on Fall, or Autumn for my friends over the pond.

Time to head to my scraproom and pull out some Blueberry Hill for my Lavender Field photos!
Do pop on over to my blog and say Hi!

Happy Scrapping
