October Challenge "Mix them up!"

Come join us for our October Challenge! This month it's my turn to show you our new challenge. I always love to mix up collections. Don't you?
I love to use the different collections together to create a whole new way to showcase the collections.
So I dare you to do the same. The challenge is that you can use Nikki's papers anyway you want. If you want to create a card, layout or altered item, that's up to you! But you need to use more then one collection by Nikki Sivils papers.

Of course our Design Team also wanted to show you their take......so here you go!!

Deana used Blueberry Hill, Dan the Record Man, Tree Love and My Sweet Cherry Pie

Carina used Willow Bee, Tree Love and My Friend Birdie

Jill created with Dan The Record Man, Tree Love, Ellie's Day Out, My Sweet Cherry Pie and Flaming Butterfly

Jennifer Matott used Boo-tiful, Dan the Record Man, My Friend Birdie and Tree Love.

Sarah Eclavea used Blueberry Hill, My Friend Birdie and Willow Bee.

Julie used Tree Love. Blueberry Hill, My Friend Birdie and Boo-tiful.

Susan Dupre used My Friend Birdie and Blueberry Hill.

Mette used Something for Everyone, Tree Love and My Friend Birdie.

Wendela used Boo-tiful, My Friend Birdie, Something for Everyone and Happy Holly-days.

Linda used Will He B the One, U R My Favorite, Sugar Cookie, Tree Love, Henry's Brilliance and My Friend Birdie.

And of course I also created a layout. I used Tree Love and My Friend Birdie.

That was a lot of inspiration!! Wow, they are all so talented....  They are such an inspiration!  If you would like to play along, just link your work to this post for a chance to win your choice of Nikki Sivils products.  We can't wait to see what you do!

Can't wait to see what you create!!

Something Stinks Around Here...

Yesterday was Bella-Blue's visit to Hulston Cancer Center, our local cancer center, for our Pet Therapy visit.  Bella usually loves going to this monthly visit, in fact when we pull into the parking garage she goes crazy, barking and scratching at the car window. But yesterday was our "Halloween" visit and needless to say...  Bella was not happy!  And I just can't imagine why...

Well I thought she made the cutest little skunk EVER, and as you can see from the pictures above she still got lots of petting and love from everyone!  We weren't alone, Jim & Anna bring Miss Molly to our visits (they've been a part of our team for over a year now, and Bella has been a therapy dog for 4 yrs).  But, poor poor Molly HATED being a farmer! Molly wouldn't walk. It took all 3 of us "humans" to get Molly to take a step forward, but she came around when "cheese" was offered.

The best part of yesterday's visit was seeing one of the patients that is in remission, she was waiting for Bella in the Lobby! She walked up to us and said "do you remember me" and I stood there trying to remember how I knew her, she looked familiar but I just couldn't place her.  Then she said "I was a patient here being treated for ovarian cancer and I'm now in remission. During my appointments here at the cancer center I always looked forward to Tuesday's when I got to see Bella, and even though I don't have an appointment today I came to see Bella one last time".  With tears in my eyes I handed her my skunk (Bella), told her I'm so happy she is better and that I was so happy that Bella made her happy during her time at the cancer center.  I just couldn't believe it, you'd think she'd never want to step foot in that place again, but she came for one last visit... to see Bella.  Once again I was reminded how special these visits are to the patients, staff and to Bella & I.
I hope you have a wonderful "hump" day! -Nikki

And of course I created a layout as well. Using the Boo-tiful collection.

Well, a lot of work for you all to see today...isn't it?

Hey Hey it's Monday!!

Hoping everyone had a good weekend! I sure did, although Saturday ended up being crazy busy all day then ending the day with a pumpkin carving contest at my parents house! Sunday however was great, did a little bit of work then... watched a movie and took my sweet Nico on about an hour walk! Love days like that!
Here are some pictures from the Pumpkin Carving contest:
Here is mine, I do a real pumpkin face every year, I just like the look of a smiling pumpkin! (I didn't win.)

This is my brother Ryan's pumpkin! I loved it, he carved his Boxers face on the pumpkin!! Freehand too!
Here is the winning pumpkin, my step-dad won the contest with yet another dog face!
This is the winning pumpkin with the lights off!!
We all had a great time, ate way too much chili and apple pie!! Yum Yum! Perfect Fall food!
That's all I have, I hope you have a great day!!  -Nikki

More Design Team Inspiration!

Happy Sunday everyone!  Hope you have been enjoying your weekend.  Just recently Nikki Sivils teamed up with Allison Davies to share some of her wonderful sketch books with a few of the design team girls.  You can find these fabulous sketch books here at Scrapbook Generation.  Designer Liz Qualman chose one of Allison's sketches, and she created an adorable layout below.

Here's a closer look.

Now we're off to share some "Boo-tiful" but spooky treats for you!  Starting off we have these super cute treat bags made by Deana Boston.  What a clever girl she is!

Here is a Halloween basket that I made.  My 6 year old son has been begging me for the goodies in it ever since he saw it, especially those eyeballs!

Then we have this adorable layout by Jennifer Yates.  Who knew The Hulk and Foofah could be so cute?

Last but not least, we have a little "Something for Everyone".  Delaina Burns has made two beautiful layouts of her beautiful daughter.

To end the show we have this super sweet layout by Jennifer Yates.  Isn't that baby just the cutest, and look at that wonderful heart technique that Jennifer did - wow!

Well, that's all folks! I hope you enjoyed the inspiration today. Until then....

Happy Crafting,
Susan Dupre
