Getting well soon with Laurel!!

Hi everyone! Today we are sharing some fabulous cards from Laurel!

Hi everyone, Laurel here.  I have some fun cards for you using the Get Well soon and My L'il Monster collections.  These were so fun to work with.

First up are the Get Well soon cards.  I thought this first one would not only make a great get well soon card, but also for that time when you need to send an apology as you may have said or done something to hurt someone.

On this next card I used some TAWS stamps to create a cute little get well soon card.  I used some Twinery Twine to create the little pom poms on the 'bugs' antennae.  I am sure that this cute little guy is bound to make anyone feel better.

Next up are my My L'il Monster creations.  I am always in need of cute little kid cards as I make them for the grade one students in my classroom.  I am sure any little boy would love to get a monster card.

Finally, a Miss You card.  I used some Paper Smooches stamps as I thought they suited this sad little guy.  I have mounted the monster and thinking bubble on foam squares for a bit of dimension.

I just love Laurel's cards!! Thanks for stopping by!

Katrina here with some Get Well Soon and My 'Lil Monster

Katrina here with some projects for you.  An altered project and a layout or two or three.

I have to say that My 'Lil Monster is one of my very favorite Nikki collections out of all of them.  I love the color palette, the patterns, just everything in the collection.  Plus the fact that the monsters are adorable.

First up a two page layout using an Allison Davis sketch to go by.  I just love that striped paper!

And another two page layout.  I really couldn't decide exactly how I wanted the journaling, so until I decide, I left that area blank.

Close up of the title work.  I had a lot of fun with this title!

This is a possible reappearance on the blog for this layout, but I love how it showcases that you can change the theme to fit your pictures.  Nikki did create a monster when she introduced me to scrapping!

Below is an altered chipboard house using the collection.  Inside are cards to match made out of the pattern paper, stickers, etc.  Great for the kids to play with!

Then the Get Well Soon collection if one of the more fun collections for me, I think!  I had a lot of fun with those little germs and baterica cutting them out and using them as embellishments on a wooden tissue box that I altered.

And the collection doesn't have to be used just for humans!  I had fun snapping these pictures in the exam room while we were waiting for Dr. B to come in and see us.  Well, it kept me entertained anyway!

That's all from me today!  Thanks for stopping by.  If you want to stop by my blog, feel free to!

Marielle + Get Well Soon and My Lil Monster = FUN!

We are loving the projects with the older lines that the Divas have been doing.  Marielle is here today with some fun cards and layouts using the My 'Lil Monster and Get Well Soon collections.

Meeting Mike

My Lil' Monster collection....what a perfect collection for this photo of my boys meeting Mike from Monsters Inc. at Disney !!! I wanted to make the"Moon Monster" paper a little less busy by covering all of the images of the small yellow monsters by covering them with 1" circle of the red and white grid paper with pop dots. I wanted Mike and the hand trimmed green monster to be the focus of my layout. Mike is my very favorite Disney character :)

Love the raised circles on this card!

@Home sick 2-Day with the Chicken Pox
I have to admit that when I received this collection I wondered what I would create with it.....then this little cutie got the chicken pox !!! and voila ....I had an idea for this layout !!! Thanks Gabriel :) LOL!!! Love those cute little germs !

This card would make me (Katrina) better!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to visit Marielle's blog also.

I {heart} My Lil' Monsters!

Hi everyone!

Julie with you here today and I have two layouts to share with you using My Lil' Monster and Get Well Soon!

My first layout is a funny one!! When my son was younger (he is 15 now!) he decided to wear hi underwear outside his jeans and also put some on a Spongebob Squarepants doll he had!! I knew these would make great blackmailing photos someday! lol!!

My last layout today is using the Get Well Soon collection! For those that follow my personal blog - my daughter was born with a skin condition called Port Wine Stains and she has laser surgeries to remove the "stains"

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Melanie on Friday!

Melanie has a little of everything today for you!  A card, layout and even a tutorial.  Yes, I would say she has been a busy crafting girl.

Moms Make It All Better Card
I used the "Get Well Minis" sheet from the "Get Well Soon" line to make this card. The smaller patterns are perfect for cards! The cut-ups are on the back of the minis so I only used one sheet of paper. I zigzag stitched around the edges and added some twine from The Twinery to "tie" it all together :)  The punch-outs are fun little additions to help reinforce the message.

Superstar Student LO
It's a win-win for me when memorabilia matches paper! The Superstar Student sticker that my son brought home with his project matched the My Lil' Monster line so well that I decided to use the sticker for the title of my page. The "Meet-A-Monster" sheet was a fun way to frame the photos. I added some punch-outs and cut-ups from the Monster line. Tip: to help the red photo corner stand-out a bit on the lower left side of the page, I tucked an upside-down tab-shaped punchout behind it so the white backs the red.

Lantern Celebrate Banner Tutorial
We have TWO birthdays in the next three days at our house. So I thought it would be fitting to have a celebrate banner. :)  I used the My Lil' Monster line. Here is how I made it:

1. Cut apart the Monster Minis sheet so you have FOUR 6x6 squares.
2. Punch along the bottom side of each square using a border punch.
3. Using a strong adhesive (I used Glue Arts Extreme Tac Adhesive squares), overlap one side to the other and adhere together to form a tube (or lantern).
4. Punch one 1/8" hole on each side of the lantern along the top edge, about 1/4" down from the top.
5. Cut up or punch out three circles from the Monster line and punch two holes at the top of each circle.
6. Add monster punch out and celebrate sentiment to center circle.
7. Thread twine through each item, alternating lanterns and circle. Hang to enjoy!

I photographed the banner on my buffet so you could see it more clearly but then I also took a picture of it hanging from a tree outside since that is where the festivities will be.

Be sure to visit Melanie's blog for more fun projects and inspiration!

Having a monster of a time with Deana!

Today we are sharing some FUN layouts and cards from Deana using My Lil' Monster and Get Well Soon!!

"I used the My Little Monster collection for both of my pages, keeping one of my pages very simple and non-"monsterish."  Even though this collection might seem geared toward crazy kids... it can also be used for lots of other topics.  I will usually try to challenge myself to use a collection for it's unintended purpose, especially since in my case I don't have a "crazy kid."  Thank goodness!

My cards were very easy to make as well.  For the "Thinking of You" card, I decided to use the 6x6 version of the same patterend paper I had just used for my "Last Day of Elementary" page.  Those 6x6 patterned paper spots make card-making so quick & easy!" ~~Deana

I just love Deana's layouts and cards! Always so fun and full of AWESOME pictures!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Getting Well Soon with Jodi's creations!

Hi everyone! Today Jodi is sharing some amazing projects!

"Hi everyone! Today I am sharing with you a few projects I made with the two spectacular lines:   My Lil’ Monster and Get Well Soon.  I LOVED working with both of these lines, and can still see many more projects to come in the future!

For the first layout I knew, once this paper was released that I wanted to use it, to document my daughter’s trip to the hospital.  She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, so the ambulance die-cut was a perfect embellishment to tell this story.  I also love the “germ guys” in this collection, and used them as a theme throughout the page too!  Here is the layout..." ~~Jodi

"For my next layout I used the Lil’  Monster Collection! I wanted to do a layout about my three kids, who usually are the sweetest, nicest kids; but on some days they get the better of me (hehehe!). This paper collection was perfect; especially the Monster Matinee Sheet, which I used as my background sheet, since it all ready had three monsters on it!  Here is the layout..."

"I used some Twine from the Twinery, to tie my banner together and some Ribbon for the tag from the Ribbon Carousel."

"I also made two cards with this collection"

"How cute is that little monster with a heart! I love it! I used the burlap buttons at each corner of the border."

"Finally I made a Get Well Card with the Get Well collection (very fitting, right?)"

Thanks for sharing your awesome-ness with us today Jodi!! I just love these!!
