Katrina here with some Get Well Soon and My 'Lil Monster

Katrina here with some projects for you.  An altered project and a layout or two or three.

I have to say that My 'Lil Monster is one of my very favorite Nikki collections out of all of them.  I love the color palette, the patterns, just everything in the collection.  Plus the fact that the monsters are adorable.

First up a two page layout using an Allison Davis sketch to go by.  I just love that striped paper!

And another two page layout.  I really couldn't decide exactly how I wanted the journaling, so until I decide, I left that area blank.

Close up of the title work.  I had a lot of fun with this title!

This is a possible reappearance on the blog for this layout, but I love how it showcases that you can change the theme to fit your pictures.  Nikki did create a monster when she introduced me to scrapping!

Below is an altered chipboard house using the collection.  Inside are cards to match made out of the pattern paper, stickers, etc.  Great for the kids to play with!

Then the Get Well Soon collection if one of the more fun collections for me, I think!  I had a lot of fun with those little germs and baterica cutting them out and using them as embellishments on a wooden tissue box that I altered.

And the collection doesn't have to be used just for humans!  I had fun snapping these pictures in the exam room while we were waiting for Dr. B to come in and see us.  Well, it kept me entertained anyway!

That's all from me today!  Thanks for stopping by.  If you want to stop by my blog, feel free to!

Melissa on Tuesday!

Has everyone recovered from National Scrapbooking Day?  I know that I am still a little "wiped out" from it!  Nikki and I were at our local LSS, Scrapbook Generation, doing some free mini classes for all the shoppers.  We had some young crafters also....these girls were so cute!  They are the daughters of Marla, that helps Nikki around the office kitting and getting orders together.  I couldn't resist grabbing a picture of them.

Today is Melissa Pablo's day on the blog and she has a couple of layouts to share with you.  She has been a busy girl with her Sketches for Scrapbooking book and Sketch Support sketches this month.

It's A Watermelon Kinda Day!
I've been waiting to scrap this pictures of my kiddos eating watermelon for sometime now and Allison Davis double page sketches really helped me put them all together easily. I found the sketch from her blog Sketch Support where you can easily print them out. For this layout I used the Noah collection kit which I haven't used for awhile and just love how the colors fit perfectly with my photos. I dusted off my Cricut machine and used Potpouri Basket cartridge to cut the watermelon.

Meet My Whacky Family
This layout was inspired by one of the sketches you can find in Allison Davis new Sketches for Scrapbooking one-page sketches book. I used the Messages collection, added some twine from The Twinery, Nikki Sivils Alpha stickers, and again I used my Cricut machine to cut out part of my title with the Stamped cartridge. Allison's sketches really makes it easy for me to put a layout together. I really love how they incude the measurements and the variations that you can do using the layout. Thank you Sketch Support for the awesome sketches.

Thanks Melissa for sharing your projects today.  Be sure to visit Melissa's blog to see more ideas from her.

First Wednesday with Melanie!

Melanie Jarocki is here today with a couple of fun layouts using the Sketches for Scrapbooking books.  (note...I will have more information about this on tomorrow's post!)

 Trouble
(using the Noah Collection)

I used a Sketch Support design for this layout. Originally, it was a two-page sketch but I only used the left side of the sketch for this single page. The journaling is hidden in the "About This Boy" card, tucked behind the photo. I used Maraschino twine from the The Twinery for extra accents on the page.

Basement
(using the Exit Here collection)

Two-page layouts are my favorite. So the Sketch Support book is awesome for me! I used the Exit Here collection for this fun page about my kids enjoying their grandparents' basement.  For extra dimension and detail on the page, I stitched between the photographs. I also added a little grass fringe to the house cut-out.

Be sure to visit Melanie's blog for more great layouts and projects!  And before I forget I need to announce the winners from the Glue Arts Cross Promo swap!

Welcome Allison Davis as our Guest Diva for the month!

Our Guest Diva for the month is no stranger to us!  It is Allison Davis, herself.  I am lucky enough to know her personally and she is as nice as she seems...and she is funny!  So, let's learn a little more about Allison and see what she created for us.

Allison got her start in scrapbooking about six years ago after her family opened Scrapbook Generation, a scrapbook store in Springfield, Missouri. She is the co-founder of Scrapbook Generation Publishing and is also the co-author of Sketches for Scrapbooking, a series of sketch books aimed at helping scrapbookers save time with detailed, yet simple and creative, yet doable two-page sketches.

Last July she introduced her own series of sketch books, Sketches for Scrapbooking: One-page Sketches. Allison is also the creator of Sketch Support, a website devoted to sketches with daily posts of projects created by herself and the Sketch Support creative team.

When Allison isn't scrapbooking she most enjoys spending time with her two boys, Drew and Jackson and her husband, Mike. She also loves baking and decorating cupcakes!

Allison used both the Exit Here and Noah collections and I think you are going to love  them.  Five projects total and quite the treat for you!

Using Exit Here she created this ADORABLE double page layout. Allison knows how to take a double page and rock it out!

A close up of the title work and handstitching.
Allison loves to handstitch on her layouts.

Love this layering of the cameras!

And here is a clean and simple card that is super easy to recreate.  You will have to do some detail cutting, though!

And then with the Noah collection, we have a card and a couple more layouts.

Cute, huh?  You could make this now and be set for Father's Day!

Allison's signature is double page layouts, but I love it when she does a one page. What a sweet picture.

We began with a double page layout and we are going to end with one!
Doesn't this make you just want to recreate this immediately?

Close up of that pocket banner and title work.

We love Allison's projects and we hope you do to!  Leave her a comment and let her know that you like them and we will pick one comment from all of them and that person will get their choice of an Exit Here or Noah collection kit!  We will announce the winner on Tuesday, March 20th here on the blog!

Be sure to visit Allison's blog(s).....

Third Thursday with Katrina

Hey everyone!  My day to post my projects on the blog here.  I always find it so much more exciting to post the design team Diva's work than my own here!

I had some fun with the Exit Here collection.
I think this is my favorite collection for this release.

As you know, we have cross promotions with different companies in the industry.  It's a great way to support each other.  These arrows are from Basically Bare and I thought they went perfect with my travel themed layout!  Plus they are fun to alter!

I had leftover scored pieces of paper and I wanted to try to use them up.  I free hand cut the two bigger hearts and then I just folded the yellow heart paper and left the ridges.  I used some Scor-Tape on the back of the piece and then just adhered it to my card front.  I did this a while back and it has stayed, in case you are wondering!

Just a fun little tag!

Next up is a layout that I did with the Noah collection that is appearing over at Sketch Support today.  Allison is our Guest Designer this month, so be sure to stop back by tomorrow and check out her fabulous projects she will have up here on the blog.

I love the punch out sheets, so fun and cute!

I don't know about you, but I am ready for the weekend.  This nice weather is giving me Spring Fever a little too early in the season!  Have a wonderful day.
