Marielle Inspiration on Friday

Marielle is here today with us on the blog.  She played with Audrey and the Summer collection this time around.  Marielle also used a lot of our cross promotional partners on her layouts.  Basically Bare, Want 2 Scrap, The Twinery, and Beacon Adhesives are all present on her projects today!  (Way to cross promo Marielle!)

Party Dress
I used the Audrey collection for this layout of my sweet little niece. She just loves to dress up and I thought this collection would be perfect for this photo of her in her Christmas party dress.

Playtime at the cottage
The Summer collection is just so fun to use on all of your summer photos. It has so many fun elements and I loved creating this layout of my niece at play at her grandparents cottage a few years ago.

Out hiking the Fundy Trails
I also used the Summer collection for this layout of my"boys" hiking last summer. I really wanted to bring out the orange colors of this collection ( one of my favorite colors to use on layouts) by adding a layer of orange cardstock and how cute is that little orange camera cut up !!!

Bonne Fete Card
I made this card for the little Miss on the layouts on this blog post ,she just turned 6 !! Summertime is the perfect time to get a Birthday card with ice cream cones on it !! Am I right? Yum ...I love ice cream!

Thanks so much for visiting the blog today. Hope you'll be back soon for more inspirations.
Marielle

And I would like to remind everyone to visit Marielle's blog for more amazing creativity from her!

Ms. Sarah on Thursday

Sarah has a jammed packed project post today.  She worked with the School is Cool, Summer and Audrey collections for her projects.

My Pre-Schooler

I know it's still summer, but school will be starting soon and it has inspired me to create this layout of my little pre-schooler. School is Cool is perfect for all the back to school layouts. I used the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge to cut the little pencil and the word notes.

While the School is Cool paper was out I created a few back to school cards too. In the School is Cool collection there is one sheet of paper divided into 4 mini 6x6 sheets. I cut these sheets out and they are the perfect size for making cards. Now all my cards are ready for my girls' first days back at school. I used the cricut Simply Charmed cartridge to cut the box of crayons.

Snip, Snip

Of course Audrey is perfect for all things girl! My sweet girl kept asking me to take her to get her hair cut. I kept putting it off because really I didn't want her growing up any faster! But I finally gave in. I think I was more nervous than she was! On this layout I used a paper piercer to poke holes around the patterned paper and then hand stitched using the holes I poked as a guide with embroidery floss. A little scotch tape helps hold down the floss on the back of the page. I used the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge for the poodle and Simply Charmed cartridge for the little pair of scissors.

Summer at the Carnival

One of my favorite releases is Summer! I just love the little critters on here. I love it so much I have just about used all my papers. I created several layouts, cards, and a mini album all from just the collection pack. I still had a few sheets left for this layout and card. My favorite sheet in the collection is the scalloped notebook paper sheet. Love it! I trimmed it on one side and arranged my photos in a grid here.

For my card I punched a circle and handcut some rays for the sun.

Whew, I am worn out from all that creativity in those projects!  Be sure to visit Sarah's blog also!!

Melanie is our Friday girl today!

Melanie Jarocki is here on this fabulous Friday with a couple of card and a couple of layouts to share.

Oh Snap Card
The camera cut-up from the Exit Here collection was perfect for this sentiment with belated birthday wishes. In addition to the Exit Here papers and die cuts, I used the red mini letters from Nikki's collection, twine from The Twinery, and an SRM sticker sentiment.

#1 Fan Layout
My little guy gets toted around to his older siblings sports events all year. So I thought it would be fitting to make a layout documenting that he is their #1 fan. The Noah Collection provided the perfect game-day colors and images for the layout. I love all the die-cuts and cut-outs in Nikki's collections. They make for the perfect page embellishments. I also used my Slice to cut out the #1 and then used a white gel pen to fill it in. I added in some more pen outlines in red, white stitching, and edge-inking to finish off the page.

Celebrate Card

My daughter was attending a friend's birthday party and asked me to make a card for her. Her friend, Cora, loves ballet and bright colors. So, I turned to the Audrey collection for it's colors and feminine patterns. The ballerina image was cut with my Slice machine. I added some yellow tulle and beading with Beacon's 3-in-1 adhesive to make the dancer's tutu. (BTW, I saw Cora and her dad the next day. Cora told me how much she loved the card, and even her dad mentioned that it was really neat. LOL).

Always Layout

I broke from my traditional 12x12 format and made an 8-1/2x11 layout for this photo of my son. I used the Messages collection to match the photo's outdoor, masculine image. But because of the message I wanted to convey, I added in the heart images to form a visual triangle around the page.

Well that was a lot of goodness to share right there!  Thanks Melanie for taking the "holiday" spot on the blog!

Welcome Erin Yamabe as our Guest Diva this month

Erin Yamabe is our Guest Diva this month here on the blog.  Erin has guested here on the blog a couple of times.  So, we were happy to have her back again.

Hello, and thank you to Nikki for having me this month!  From the start, I've been a fan of Nikki's sweet and whimsical designs, and for all that she puts into her designs!

I'm blessed to be a stay at home Mom to two little girls, who are the subject of most of my work.  My husband is very supportive of all his girls, and am very appreciative for him to understand how much this hobby means to me!  Aside from scrapbooking, I enjoy being active at my girls' schools and our church, taking spin and zumba classes, and date nights with my hubby! Over the past five years, I've worn different hats in this industry...as a designer, DT Coordinator, and instructor.  Currently, I am working with Therm O Web, Ruby Rock-It Bella! Fundamentals, Punky Sprouts, and The Paper Bakery kit club.  I've been blessed to have my work published in both the U.S. and Japanese magazines, at CHA, on the Scrapbook Memories TV Show, and on QVC UK.

Erin chose the Audrey collection to work with for her guest spot.  She created two layouts and two cards for us today!

How cute are these chevrons?!

I love all the little details in this layout.....

I love this little pocket heart....a great place to add some detail or
to hide your journaling.

Thanks Erin for being a Guest Diva again and for giving our readers some great projects and eye candy to drool over.  Please be sure to visit Erin's blog also.

If you would like to win the Audrey collection kit that Erin used, be sure to leave a comment and we will pick one winner!  You have until Monday, 6-18-12 at 11:59 PM CST to leave your comments!

Melissa is on the blog today!

Melissa Pablo has three layouts that are all about layering and little details.  I just can't pick a favorite...can you?!

All Boys
This layout was inspired by Pagemaps sketch. I love using the Noah line for my boys photos. I love fussy cutting the stars on Noah's Star patterned paper and adhere them using foam mounting double sided tape for layers- easy way of creating your own embellishment.

Jylian
Audrey is just perfect for a little girls layout and here in this layout is the photo of my sweet daughter, Jylian. I do a lot of layering on my layouts by adding strips of patterned papers and again, using the easy cut-ups and punch-outs and adhering them with foam mounting double sided tape for dimension.

Giggles & Smiles
Another layout using Audrey line and inspired by one of Sketch Support one-page sketch. Lots of strips and embellishments from both cut-outs and punch outs.

Later in the month, Melissa will have an amazing mini album using the Exit Here collection, you aren't going to want to miss that.  Be sure to give Melissa's blog a visit also.  You can find her here.

Thursday + Marielle, Fun Post!

Marielle LeBlanc is here on the blog today to show you some quick Father's Day cards and a fun layout that mixes a couple of the current collections!

Father's Day cards using the Noah Collection

Both of these cards were so quick and easy to make, I simply cut the bottom portion of the cover page of the Noah collection and added a few embellishments!

Animal Kingdom Layout using mixed collections..

I just got back from Disney and I really wanted to document the place where we stayed (Animal Kingdom Lodge) . If you've never been there,i t's spectacular and it has a very earthy /primitive feel , so I chose the warm yellow, greens and browns of the Messages collection and few little bits from the Audrey collection to compliment this photo of the lobby.I loved that I could mix these collections together to get the look I wanted to create. A Page Maps sketch (from the Scrapbooks and Cards Today magazine) was used for this layout.

So there you have it.  You can make some quick Father's Day cards, then turn around and whip up a layout with a couple of different collections!!  Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to visit Marielle's blog!

Melanie on Wednesday and Basically Bare Winners

Winner Day One for the Basically Bare Swap is.......

Janet Zeppa

Winner Day Two for the Basically Bare Swap is.....

Becky Garrison

Ladies, please email me at cardipaws@sbcglobal.net with your choice of collection kit and your shipping address.   Congrats!

Today Melanie Jarocki is up on the blog....I am going to let her take it away......

Thinking Of You
One of my favorite ways to spice up a project is to fussy-cut. I love all of the images in the Audrey line and thought it would be fun to cut some of them out and pop them off the page. I added some Pink Sorbet twine from the The Twinery, along with Nikki's small yellow alphas to complete the card.

You Are So Berry Sweet
Did you know that the sentiment squares at the top of Nikki's cut-ups pages are the perfect size for gift cards?

I cut this Berry Sweet one from the Audrey collection sheet and then machine-stitched it to the background paper. By just stitching around the sides and bottom of the square, I could insert a gift card into the top for a perfect gift card holder.

Ok, well I just learned something!  I had no idea that those were the perfect size for gift cards!

We are Blog Swapping with Basically Bare! Day One!

Do you like embellishments?  Do you like to "create your own" using a bare base?  Well, we are starting a two day blog swap with Basically Bare today and that is just what the Divas are going to show you!  Basically Bare not only has unique and fun mini books to alter, but they have bare chipboard, canvas, arcrylic, and cardboard embellishments to make your own to match your layouts with the paper collection you are working with!

We will also be having a giveaway, but you will have to comment here on the blog and also over at Basically Bare's blog.  Their designers have created some FUN FUN FUN stuff and I can't wait for you to see it!  But, let's look at what the Divas created first!

Laurel Seabrook used the Messages collection to make a journal from one of the mini books the girls were sent.  Here is Laurel to tell you about it.....

Hi everyone, Laurel here.  I am so excited to bring you my Basically Bare project today.  I loved this mixed album as soon as I saw it in my package and couldn't wait to use it.  I decided to make a Gratitude Journal and have left lots of space for adding photos I take, lots of journaling and I love the few envelopes for holding memorabilia or more photos.  I had a lot of fun creating this, I used lots of stamps and Cricut cuts and for adhering the items to the pages I have used the Beacon 3 in 1 Glue.

(Laurel has more pictures of her complete album on her blog)

Jodi Wilton created this CUTE altered frame project that I want her to send me!  I love how the two collections mixed perfectly! Let's hear from Jodi......

I used the six of the chipboard Hearts from to create a home decor project! The hearts were perfect because they were nice and thick, which added a lot of dimension to the project! I covered the hearts with EXIT HERE and AUDREY collections, and added the hot air balloon to tie in the title.

I (Katrina) made this layout about my first trip to CHA using the Audrey collection.  I will have close ups of the dress and heart on my blog.

The girly collection was perfect for the dress form and wings!  I also used a canvas heart and some of the chipboard blossoms to accent my picture.  Double bonus is that that cluster also holds my layout title!  BTW, Suzy is glowing..I am sweating!  July in downtown Chicago during the heatwave last year!

Deana Boston had fun creating with the Basically Bare Celestial Shapes set using the sun and clouds for her layout about a flat tire!!  She used the Noah collection for her layout.

Deana added sequins to her sun and wrapped twine around the felt clouds!

Melanie Jarocki created a couple of cute and fun cards using Audrey and Noah.

Sarah Eclavea has done a fun little mini with the Exit Here collection.  Here are a few of the pages from it.

Did you get some ideas?  Are you wanting to get your hands on some Basically Bare and Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker goodies?  Well, we can help you with the Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker part!  Leave a comment below and we will draw one winner for a collection kit of your choosing.  Basically Bare has a giveaway on their blog also, so be sure to comment on BOTH blogs!! And comment on tomorrow's post, because we will have a giveaway there too!
