Busy, Busy, Busy Weekend!

Hope you all had a good weekend!
I did, it was busy but good. We went and got our 5th Wheel from the storage unit to get it ready for a new adventure we will be taking soon. It is always so fun to get it ready for a trip.  I just sat in it today for about an hour and loved every minute of it! I can't wait to get it out on the road.
I snapped this picture with my iPhone while Dan was backing it into our driveway.

We are headed to Louisville, KY for a CKC (Creating Keepsakes Convention)! I've never set up a booth at a consumer show but recently decided that I wanted to try a couple and see how they turn out.
And since my 40th Birthday is a few days after the show we are going to stay in Louisville and be tourist! I'm a big Kentucky Derby fan (watch it every year with my g-ma) so we are going to tour Churchill Downs, the Derby museum and celebrate my 40th b-day! So if anyone has any other suggestions about that area please let me know.

I also gave Bella her "Spring" hair-do! Shaved her all down (you can see the before and after pictures below), Bella loves it! She runs and jumps around like a puppy, like she lost 20 lbs!
Bella is going to Louisville with us and CKC too, so if you are in the area come by and meet her!
Now I know this picture is just of a lady and a little boy but its so much more than that....
Max (one of my sisters twins) is sitting on my lap telling be all about his day. This is
HUGE!! Mollie, his twin sister, along with Cade and Ellie, his older brother and sister are ALWAYS
happy to see aunt Nikki, running to my arms for big hugs and kisses. But not Max, he is a momma's boy and always keeps he's distance from me, until TODAY! Max ran and jumped in my arms when he saw me and then later crawled on my lap to have a little chat, this has never happened before!
Love that little guy!!
It was a successful weekend for sure!!

I hope everyone has a great week!

Oh and I do have a few "Spring Fling" kits left too!

Welcome Allison Davis as our Guest Diva for the month!

Our Guest Diva for the month is no stranger to us!  It is Allison Davis, herself.  I am lucky enough to know her personally and she is as nice as she seems...and she is funny!  So, let's learn a little more about Allison and see what she created for us.

Allison got her start in scrapbooking about six years ago after her family opened Scrapbook Generation, a scrapbook store in Springfield, Missouri. She is the co-founder of Scrapbook Generation Publishing and is also the co-author of Sketches for Scrapbooking, a series of sketch books aimed at helping scrapbookers save time with detailed, yet simple and creative, yet doable two-page sketches.

Last July she introduced her own series of sketch books, Sketches for Scrapbooking: One-page Sketches. Allison is also the creator of Sketch Support, a website devoted to sketches with daily posts of projects created by herself and the Sketch Support creative team.

When Allison isn't scrapbooking she most enjoys spending time with her two boys, Drew and Jackson and her husband, Mike. She also loves baking and decorating cupcakes!

Allison used both the Exit Here and Noah collections and I think you are going to love  them.  Five projects total and quite the treat for you!

Using Exit Here she created this ADORABLE double page layout. Allison knows how to take a double page and rock it out!

A close up of the title work and handstitching.
Allison loves to handstitch on her layouts.

Love this layering of the cameras!

And here is a clean and simple card that is super easy to recreate.  You will have to do some detail cutting, though!

And then with the Noah collection, we have a card and a couple more layouts.

Cute, huh?  You could make this now and be set for Father's Day!

Allison's signature is double page layouts, but I love it when she does a one page. What a sweet picture.

We began with a double page layout and we are going to end with one!
Doesn't this make you just want to recreate this immediately?

Close up of that pocket banner and title work.

We love Allison's projects and we hope you do to!  Leave her a comment and let her know that you like them and we will pick one comment from all of them and that person will get their choice of an Exit Here or Noah collection kit!  We will announce the winner on Tuesday, March 20th here on the blog!

Be sure to visit Allison's blog(s).....

Third Thursday with Katrina

Hey everyone!  My day to post my projects on the blog here.  I always find it so much more exciting to post the design team Diva's work than my own here!

I had some fun with the Exit Here collection.
I think this is my favorite collection for this release.

As you know, we have cross promotions with different companies in the industry.  It's a great way to support each other.  These arrows are from Basically Bare and I thought they went perfect with my travel themed layout!  Plus they are fun to alter!

I had leftover scored pieces of paper and I wanted to try to use them up.  I free hand cut the two bigger hearts and then I just folded the yellow heart paper and left the ridges.  I used some Scor-Tape on the back of the piece and then just adhered it to my card front.  I did this a while back and it has stayed, in case you are wondering!

Just a fun little tag!

Next up is a layout that I did with the Noah collection that is appearing over at Sketch Support today.  Allison is our Guest Designer this month, so be sure to stop back by tomorrow and check out her fabulous projects she will have up here on the blog.

I love the punch out sheets, so fun and cute!

I don't know about you, but I am ready for the weekend.  This nice weather is giving me Spring Fever a little too early in the season!  Have a wonderful day.

Second Wednesday's with Jodi!

Hi everyone!!

So happy to be here today sharing Jodi Wilton's creations! I just love her work, she is just WOW!!

Today Jodi is sharing a layout and two cards with us!! She used the Exit Here collection on her projects!

"I was inspired by the little pull camper and car, that I knew my first layout would be a camping one! Last summer was the first summer we got a pop up trailer. My kids loved it, even if was from 1979.  I love to layer on my layouts, and with Nikki's collections it makes it so easy to put together! An example of my layering is on the I LOVE CAMP sign." ~~Jodi

"This card was made with a lot of the die-cuts on the die-cut sheet.  A tip for card making:  I take a bunch of the die cuts and play around with them to see what design I like. I love to use twine too! Here I used some of the Baker's Twine by the Twinery!" ~~Jodi

"For this card I took took the CUT-UPS page from the Exit Here collection and cut out the sentiment. I really loved the hot air balloon, so I cut it out and used it instead of the airplane. Don't be afraid to mix things up!  I also used some Baker's Twine from the Twinery."~~Jodi

Thanks for stopping by...and a big thanks to Jodi for sharing her beautiful creations with us today!

Second Tuesday with Melissa Pablo

WOW, Diva Melissa has been BUSY with projects for her first post on the blog!  So, we are just going to get down to business today.  She has 7 projects!

I Heart This Boy
I think so far this is my favorite layout. the colors are a perfect match to
the photo of my son, I just love Messages line! The vintage telephones and typewriters are so beautiful. To add more texture I applied glossy accent on the vintage phone.

Remember
This is a first for me, altering a canvas and i just love it! I used the lovely Messages line on this one and also, dusted off my Cricut machine and use the Opposites Attracts font to cut out my words (except for the word "remember").

"Boys Will Be Boys"
I have two boys and love creating layouts for them so when I saw the Noah collection I knew it'll be perfect for my active boys. Love the denim colors in this collection and  the cute little denim pockets!  I layered the punch outs and cut outs to add dimension.

Together
This was the first layout created when I got my supllies and again the denim colors in the Noah collection are so rich! This collection is a must-have. again, I used the  super cute denim pockets as banners just love them!

"You Are So Berry Sweet"
I used the beautiful Audrey line in this layout, perfect for my daughter's photo. The cut outs are easy to use to make your own embelishment and using pop dots you can layer them up and add dimension in your layout.

You Bring Me Joy
Exit Here is so versatile that it is so easy to work with and create non-vacation layout like this one. the colors are so vibrant and beautiful.

Smile
On this layout I used the Exit Here line and love the banners and the cute camera cut outs. And I cut out my own tree!

I think Melissa rocked these projects!  Let us know if one of them is your favorite!  I don't think I can pick one!

Be sure to visit Melissa's blog for more amazing projects!
