I'm The Twinkle In Grandma's Eyes
As soon as I saw the die cut sentiment in the Audrey line, I knew it was for my daughter, Lina. She holds a special place in Grandma's heart. I called my mom and asked her what she would like me to journal on the page. Fussy-cutting is one of my favorite ways to embellish a project, so the pink border and mushrooms were super fun for me to add to the layout. I also added twine from The Twinery for extra dimension and pop. To adhere the twine to the page, I used Beacon's 3-in-1 glue.
Thank You Card
I had some leftover strips of the woodgrain paper from the Exit Here collection. The idea of layers came to me so I trimmed the strips with decorative scissors and built up the layers. After cutting the flower from the cut-ups sheet, I punched two holes in it to thread the twine through (from The Twinery). The sentiment sticker is from SRM Stickers. Nikki's red burlap buttons finish off the card in the top corners.
Thank Heaven for Little Boys
With three boys I will definitely be using the Noah collection--a lot! I discovered these pictures of my (now 3-year-old) baby who was just starting to pull up to things. The stars from the pattern paper were calling me to cut them out and layer them along the bottom of the photos. I used a circle punch to punch out some of the stars, too, for variety. And who doesn't love a premade title? So happy to have the title die cut all ready to go onto the page
Aren't these some fun projects from Melanie?! I love those stars along the bottom of those pictures!
