Boo!

Happy Halloween!!

This is my favorite holiday, well one of them!
Instead of a "normal" blog post I thought I'd share some pics from
last Halloween and pics of my house all ready for this years
Halloween!
(Thanks to Pinterest I created a few new decorations for the house.)

my nephew noah and i (i'm a black cat)
bella had a spider following her all day
my mom stopped by and she was a witch
dan was an inmate with his "police" dogs
but together we were the "cat-burglar"
had a cowgirl and her cow (the cow hated his costume so it was off)

also a MU football player had a tailgate party on my driveway
(my nephew, cade)
a sweet ladybug flew by (my niece ellie)
a smelly stinkbug made his way up to my house
(my nephew, max)

a very tiny bumble-bee flittered by

dan and i with my sister emily's crew
(cade, ellie, max & mollie)
my brother, ryan an his wife, tessa and son, noah won the award for the most creative "family"
costume... beekeeper, queen bee & a jar of honey
cute little jar of honey, huh!

Last but not least...
my adorable little niece, taylor aka.. the ladybug!

I can't wait to see what everyone will be this year!
I'm SO, SO, SO lucky to have such a HUGE family with
so many little ones!

Now for my kind of creepy house this year....

My sister said these make her "gag"!
So that tells me it was a job well done!

My "Witches" station

This is the back of my front door. I ripped up black
trash bags to make a spooky curtain.

Love my floating scary pumpkin head!

Lots of spiders this year!

I hope everyone has a great Halloween!
Be safe!

Girls Weekend Retreat...

Year #3 for us three girls to go on our "girls weekend" retreat!
We have found the sweetest, cutest little farm house to go to each year and have fallen in love with the house, the caretakers and the owners!

(These 3 pictures are from last year, we had rainy days so no outside pictures this year.)

Our sweet suite! We love this room (my bed has my quilt on it)!
Our favorite lunch that is served on Saturday, cornbread salad.
Why you ask is Justin in our crop room???
Our sweet friend Stephanie has a HUGE CRUSH, HUGE... CRUSH on Justin! So Jill and I bought a stand-up of the Bieb's (is that the right "nickname" for him?) for her engagement gift! (Yes, that's what I said engagement gift!) Her fiancé knows all about it, so no worries.
Below is the video I took of Stephanie when she comes in from her morning run to find him standing behind her chair waiting for her in the crop room. This was such a great surprise and a fun one to give!!
After the shower pictures...

I'm not sure I've seen someone so happy over a "fake" stand-up!
Love you Stephanie!!

I had to get at least one picture with this cutie-pie!

We are in Chicago visiting our Lanie this week, I'll take lots of pics and post them once we are back and give you an update on how she is doing.
Have a great Wednesday!

Monday Update...

I owe some pretty HUGE thank you's to some awesome scrapbookers out there in this wonderful scrap-world! I know more than posted on my blog about my dear friend Lanie when in just a few days these arrived in the mail...
(aren't these so pretty)!!
Then I came home last night from my annual girls retreat to find these....
I know that they were not actually for me but its the best happy mail ever!!
So I could wait to open them...
...only to find all this!
(BTW: All these pictures came from my iPhone, my battery was dead on my camera so please don't judge my cell phone photos.)
Actually to be honest SOME of these I made over the weekend as well as the girls that joined me at the retreat! So its a mix of both mailed-into me card and cards from the weekend!
That's a lot of cards!

With that said... I need more! I know it doesn't seem like it when you see these pictures but sending out 6 cards a week means 24-ish cards a month! I don't even have enough for one month. (Most of these are thank-you's for Lanie to send out, see my post about this.) I'll keep on making cards on my end but if you all have a few extra's laying around I'd love to have them and they are going for a great cause too!
(Please see this POST for all the info about the cards.)

I have to share the cards that came from Bella Blvd's design team:
they are just so pretty...
also here are a few I made from random manufactures (including my company)...

Thanks again from the bottom of my heart! You ladies rock!
Seriously you do!!
Happy Monday!!
