HI there it's me, Nikki!

I hope you have been enjoying all my Design Team's layouts and projects they've been posting on my blog!! They are all so talented, and I'm in awe of them every time I see something new they've created! Thanks ladies!

I've had some fun things going on the last couple of weeks, I've been sending out RAK's (random acts of kindness) and I can't tell you how much fun that's been!! I asked my DT girls to help with this, I wanted some suggestions, and Julie one of my Diva DT gals suggested Lydia Siegel, so off I was sending Lydia a package. Then about a week later I received the sweetest email and these pictures...
(I have no idea why the top have is underlined???) Sorry about that!

This is Lydia's daughter, Samantha, who is only 4 and she made her very first layout using some of my products! Well I had to show off Samantha and her layout, of course!!! Is she not the cutest thing ever!!! Thanks Samantha and keep up the good work!!

Lydia made this layout, which is so sweet and creative!

Well, besides handing out some RAK's I've been decorating, baking, shopping, wrapping gifts and you know all the things that go along with the holidays! I wanted to share a picture of my favorite Christmas decorations in my house, my Nutcrackers! I buy myself a new one every year and I love trying to find the perfect one for me! This year I bought an Elf Nutcracker, since I designed an elf on my Christmas paper line, North Pole Nights. (No pics of him yet, but I'll get one up soon, because he's a real cutie-pie!) Here are just a few of my guys...

I've also been doing some crafting, not as much as I'd like of course. I usually make many of my Christmas gifts, but now that I'm running a business that requires most of my time I just don't get to play as much. But.... I did make this Christmas banner from my North Pole Nights chipboard album, Willie- Bee's Font stamps, my Craft Flag and some of my papers, along with Jillibean Soup Sprouts, Jenni Bowlin Bingo Cards and Tickets, K and Co stickers, May Arts ribbon, Melissa Frances Snaps, and some Little Yellow Bicycle journaling tags.

I did get one day in of shopping with my sister in-laws and my mom. We all had a great time, ate at a local Tea House, toured a home all decorated for Christmas and shopped our little hearts out! I'm so thankful my two brothers married women I would've picked for them!! (Now if I can just get my younger brother married to a woman as sweet as these girls, then my job is done!)
My mom, Trish, Tessa, Tanya, and me.

Well, beside the usual Holiday business, I'm also working like crazy to get ready for CHA! (the CHA craze has started) I have created some awesome make-n-take's for the show. Dan is working on being the most efficient we can possible be for taking orders. Lanie is getting media and designer packs together and trying to keep Dan and I organized (which itself is a full time job)! I can't believe CHA is just a little over a month away!!

I've also been invited by the ladies of Scrapbook Generation (my local scrapbook store, who was also my first sale) to show off two of my new paper collections on January 9th! I'm so excited, they are calling it "Nikki Sivils" day, and all my products will by 20% off that day only. Also besides myself, 2 of my good friends are going to be teaching "mini classes" using my newest paper lines and products, and the best part they are free! Allison Davis has put together some great 2 page layouts that they'll be selling too (and we all know Allison is the Queen of 2 page layouts!) So you can check out all the details here: Scrapbook Generation!! If you are in the area come visit me and my good friends at Scrapbook Generation, there will also be a huge CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!
One last thing... I'm looking for 2 more girls to add to my DESIGN TEAM. So check back later for the details on that.
Happy Holidays to you and your families!! -Nikki

Some Santa and and a hug

Hi everyone! I'm Deanna and I'm here to share my projects with you for this month. Of course, I too worked with North Pole Nights. I love it because it's such a whimsical and playful collection featuring mainly non-traditional Christmas colors! Definitely not your ordinary holiday collection! And I love that it's so versatile too!

"A Visit with Santa"

For my first layout, I wanted to document my girls visit to see Santa. Here I used a lot of the cut-ups, as well as a border punch to give the ledger paper a little oomph. And both the candy cane and year on the tag are accented with red liquid pearl to give them a shiny look.

"Christmas hugs"

For my 2nd layout I decided to go with the non-traditional colors, and this picture of my daughter and her cousin from last Christmas seem to fit those colors perfectly. To give the tree some "ornaments" and the flowers centers, I used Nikki's corduroy brads, and really love the look! They add such great depth and texture!

Well that's all for me today, but I look forward to blogging with you on the 17th of every month! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and get all your last minute running around finished up quickly! :D

Happy Holidays!

More of North Pole Nights

Hello everyone,
this is Emeline, your host for every 16th of the month.
Slightly more than a week left before the 25th; hope you are almost done with your shopping and in high gear for the coming Christmas !

i wonder if you did any handmade Christmas themed decorations this year.
i always love to think scrapbookers like us would look forward to special days in the calendar and make items for our home or for giveaways.

Here, i made a candy cane holder using Nort Pole Nights paper Collections and Chipboard Album: Tag. I adore the dome shaped chipboard and i envisioned it looking like a pretty pot when they are lined up perpendicular to each other. So off to work , i created these with these simple brief steps :

- cover 4 chipboards with 2 red / 2 green paper (you can opt to use cardstocks)
- Cut out motifs from An Elf Came to Visit scallop papers and Nights of Cutie Cut-Ups/Christmas Magic paper.
- Using the die cutting machine, scallop edge pattern paper from Night Before Christmas/Surprise.
- Using the zutter bind it all, punch along the edges of the tag chipboards and secure the wires.
- embellish each chipboards with ribbon and scallop edge.
- embellish the front with elf motif, buttons, craft flags.

The Christmas themed papers are really a breeze to use; here's a layout using Nikki Sivil's North Pole Nights Collection.
I's been so inspired by the layouts and papercrafted items created by the girls in the design team ! I hope you are enjoying the inspirations as much as i am ...

Nikki's pattern papers have such adorable graphics to stretch your imagination.
Here, i used stickles to add glitters onto the chirstmas baubles and decorations on the tree.

keep warm and please be back tomorrow for another inspirational post!

Adding a little holiday pizazz...

to your layouts and projects is easy. I am Mimi Leinbach your blog hostess for the day and I am going to give you a few quick tips to add some spice to your projects! Start with great paper! We have that in the North Pole Lights Collection by Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker! For me I love adding lots of sparkle and glitter to my holiday projects.

In this layout I cut the tree and gifts from the pattern paper and added both Stickles and Liquid Pearls to the tree for a little more punch!

To dress up alphabets add a few jewels to your letters.

I have 8 nieces and nephews and they always ask for gift cards. I like to make my gift cards a little more personal by altering a tin and card to present them. It is also a great little gift to add to a stocking!

I made this tin from an old mint box. I covered it with pattern paper and then punched a strip to wrap around it. This will simply slide off when the person opens it. I added a little glittered ribbon and embellished it with patterns I cut from the pattern paper and then stickled.

These tins are also great to give any time of the year. My nieces all have them and keep their earrings in them on their dresser. Not only are you recycling but also giving a cute little keepsake that can be used in so many ways.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Holidays!

Traditions And Making Memories For Your Christmas Projects

Hey there readers! Laura here and I have to tell you I love this time of year! There is so much to do and so many things to see (and shop for) but oh so many opportunities for creating! For this month I created a couple of different projects using the North Pole Nights collection. So cute and so versatile! You can make projects that have more pink in them like this Believe banner I made or you can make projects using more red in them like my Christmas Morn layout.

I created this banner using some papers from the 6x6 mini pad, chipboard letters, ribbon and a bunch of sparkly stuff like glitter, stickles and glimmer mist.

For this layout we always take a picture of our kiddos together on Christmas morning. Collecting the photos together from over the years is a great way to show case your Christmas memories.

Thank you for stopping by! Now get scrapping!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

Hi, it's Susan, and Christmas is by far my favorite holiday. I wish I were more organized like Nikki! That girl had her Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving. My lights are still in a bag beside my tree just waiting to be put up. Well, maybe today. I have to say I've been busy making little Christmas crafts instead - much more fun than climbing up and down that ladder!

Today you not only get to see some projects by me, but also Julie Tucker-Wolek. She doesn't blog until after Christmas. It would be a shame for you not to see the cute things she has created.

First up is this ornament I made using the top of a Prima flower container. It was so easy to make! I just used the lid to trace around - of course, using one of the cute pieces of paper from "North Pole Nights". I then added a little glitter to the little elf. Next I glued him on to the inside of the lid. After that, I added a little more glitter around the center and added the ribbon.

For this ornament, I bought a pre-made shaped ornament at Hobby Lobby. I then covered it papers from "North Pole Nights". Again I added glitter and ribbon to embellish it.

Aren't these Christmas items that Julie made, adorable? I love the candle holders, the added embellishments to the penguins and those wonderful place cards.

Here is a close up of the place cards. You can see that Julie used Nikki's stamps from "North Pole Nights" on them.

Here I made a gift card holder and a card. For the gift card holder I used a cut out sheet from "North Pole Nights".

I hope you have been inspired by our projects. We can't wait to see what wonderful ideas you come up with using Nikki's fabulous papers! Here's hoping you have a wonderful holiday season!

I ♥ North Pole Nights...

Hi everyone, Deana here! Isn't it FUN to see how everyone is creating with the North Pole Nights line this month? I am so inspired!

I love to paper-piece on my projects. Nikki's lines make it SO easy with all the cute & fun images she's created! One of my favorite things about her lines, though, are the scalloped-edge papers! I love them & use them a LOT!

My first project is my December Daily album. I made my first December Daily last year. This year there was no question that I would use the North Pole Nights line for my book! It certainly makes it easy when everything is already coordinated! I started my book with 2 of the chipboard albums. I chose the Victoria's Street House album & the North Pole Nights Tag album. Then I covered all the pages with patterned paper from the North Pole Nights line. I adhered the paper & then cut it with a craft knife for a smoother edge. I inked all the edges, too, to give it a more finished look. The scallops worked well for the "roof" on my cover page...

I made my own "wreath" for the door with paper from My Sweet Cherry Pie by using 2 different size punches & then added some red pearls for my "berries"...

I love how you can cut out images from the patterned paper to use as embellishments on your page... like the ornaments for example! The craft flags are always fun to use, too...

For the next 2 pages, I used a journaling stamp & a journaling block. Both are fast & easy ways to jot down what you want to remember...

More My Sweet Cherry Pie on my envelope on Day #6. The red & green in that line work perfectly with the North Pole Nights line... a great way to re-use what you already have!

I'll be posting more pages from my book as the month progresses! So... grab your North Pole Nights & follow along with me!

Next I made a little dress card... quick & easy. Just drew a pattern for my dress, cut it out & added a corduroy brad on the "belt"...

This gift card holder was made using the North Pole Nights Tag album again. I cut my paper into a mitten pattern & adhered it to the front of the card. Then I painted the inside of the card pink to match. I used embroidery floss to bind my card together. Don't ask me what kind of stitching I did. It makes no sense whatsoever!

And finally, just for fun, I made a 2010 calendar combining most of the lines...

Thank you SO MUCH for the opportunity to share my work with you! I hope you all enjoy the holiday season!

Time to celebrate!

Hello everyone!

My name is Claude and I'll be hosting the blog on the 5th of each month. I can't wait to share my "Nikki" work with you, as I like to call it! You'll come to see that I am one of the "simple scrappers" in the bunch. As a simple scrapper, I love Nikki's papers because they speak on their own. They are so beautiful and colorful that not much else is needed to make something special. Case in point:

As you can see, this card is made of paper exclusively, no embellishment whatsoever. All that was needed were a few punches and some pop-dots!

Here is the layout I made for the DT challenge back in November. This is my take on "A holiday memory". No picture needed, just beautiful papers and lots of words. This layout is 8x8.

I also made this layout about my dad, who I lost 3 years ago, using the mini-paddies of all 6 collections. I had this vision in my mind, I really like how it turned out! A little ink brings it all together.

And my ever-trusty butterfly punch makes another appearance here. I love how we can use tiny scraps to embellish a page!

Thanks for checking us out at Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker, join us again tomorrow for some great work by Deana Boston!
