Mini Love

I'm in love with many things in Nikki's new lines but one has to be the way they all go together and how easy it is to use them for mini albums with the 6x6 pads that coordinate! Nikki asked a few of us to create albums for a show she was attending and I made mine using the square, scalloped album and the Flaming Butterfly line. I knew I wanted it to be about my love for my boys. So, it became a "brothers" album. I love how the papers are like a celebration... bright, loud, fun! That's my boys too... they are bright, LOUD, and fun with each other. They are my sunshine. So, I made the book with photos from the time they met each other on Christopher's birth day until now. The papers are perfect for any theme. They are great for boys as well as girls. I love the bold colors and designs! Here is a glimpse at my mini album dedicated to my two busy boys:

The cover was fun to make with a circle punch to reveal a butterfly underneath, Cinder Glimmer mist to create droplets, and the cute owl and heart stickers from Nikki's Pockets of Sticker Goodness!!!

I used the stamp set from the Flaming Butterfly to create a little accent. I first masked the area with a cut out butterfly and sprayed it and then stamped the image in the masked area. I also used paret of the 10" circles here. There is a scattering of my favorite... the burlap buttons!

I had to include the cute Willow Bee clouds as journaling spots here. They are so cute! I also used alot of the Cut Ups on this page as a backing to the title and butterflies.

Here is a fun 2 page layout. I love the black and bold colors and wanted to add more texture here. So I used a variety of different hole punches for the "eaten areas" of the page. Backed with the orange paper, it makes the texture pop! I also love the little tag that you can use from the button packaging! I've used them a lot! Here they are behind the title and also below for my back cover.
I hope you have enjoyed my mini book and I'll be back next month with LOTS more projects to share. Don't forget to check out our gallery on Nikki's site to get more DT ideas from each line. Happy Spring!!!

XOXO
