We have a wonderful Guest Designer with us this month, Erin Yamabe. She has created some amazing things with our collections "We Are Family" and "Summer". Here is a little more about Erin.
Erin Yamabe is a sahm, to 2 beautiful little girls, who are the subject of most of her work! She is very excited to be Nikki's guest designer for July! She is active in her daughter's schools and their church. Outside of scrapbooking, she enjoys taking Zumba and Yoga classes, family road trips, and date nights with her hubby! She started scrapbooking a few years after her oldest was born, and that was about 6 years ago! The passion she has for this wonderful hobby has turned into many opportunities for which she is very grateful for! As a DT Coordinator, Designer, and Instructor for My Little Shoebox, she finds her job to be alot of fun, at times challenging and very, very rewarding! Her work can be found in magazines, both in the U.S. and in Japan, on QVC UK, and on the Scrapbook Memories TV Show.
Now that we have gotten to know Erin, let's see what she created for us with the Summer collection! First up is a layout. I LOVE how she did the details on this.
She took the banners and wrapped them around one of the faux stitched border strips, using it as a pole to hang her banners on.
Then she cut out some of the cloud shapes and popped them up. She also used some dimensional adhesive on some of them to make them shiny and stand out!
Next up, she created an altered canvas piece. She sneaked a peek of this on our Facebook page and I couldn't wait to see what it was all about! The shimmer and shine go great with this!
A trick that Erin used was covering the metal tin with some gesso and then using mist on it to give it some color!
I love how she did the banner across the front!
And here is the mini that is inside. Erin provided us some close ups of the pages!
Now let's see what fun stuff she came up with for the We Are Family collection!
Here is a layout. I love how she paper pieced the background. It reminds me of a quilt.
Next, she created a "Thinking of You" card. And a neat way to use those border strip papers as a full sheet!
Then there is this amazing banner! I am a sucker for banners and this one is no exception
And a little closer look......
I hope you all enjoyed Erin's projects as much as we did! It is so fun to see what people come up with using Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker products. Erin definitely did a wonderful job and gave us some fun ideas! You can also visit Erin's blog HERE.
Thank you Erin for being our Guest Design Team Diva for the month of July! We are so happy that you joined us and hope you had fun creating with Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker products!
Have a Scrappy Kind of Day!!~~Katrina
