I ♥ clouds...

Hey there! It's Deana here today, but you probably already knew that by the title of this post. In fact, I'm sure if you've seen any of my work, you're probably wishing I would find something NEW to love! Before we get to how much I love those flat-bottomed clouds in the Willow Bee line, how about something else that brings a little SPRING-time to your pages... like pinwheels!

They are easy to make & can add some dimension to your pages & projects.

I made mine using a double-sided patterned paper (my choice was from Ellies Day Out), a piece of coordinating paper to punch out a circle for the middle, a corduroy brad & a wooden skewer...

I cut my square in 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. You can choose any size square. Then draw lines ALMOST to the center of your square... leaving about 1/4-inch space in the middle. To be perfectly honest, I skip the drawing lines part & just start cutting. Perfection is so over-rated! Poke a hole in the center of your square, so it's ready for your brad...

Now fold 1 corner in to the middle from each of your 4 triangles you now have & hold those corners in place with a sticky dot...

I added a punched-circle to the middle of my pinwheel before adhering my brad because I wanted another pop of blue on my page, but you can make yours in any variation. Then I taped the top of the wooden skewer to the back of my pinwheel...

In addition to really LOVING the clouds in the Willow Bee line, as you'll see with the following projects, I also LOVE how easy it is to mix & match Nikki's lines. Old + new, they can all work together. On this one I used the Dan The Record Man line + stamps + stickers...

This page is mostly Bella Blue & Oscar Too + some Flaming Butterfly + Willow Bee for my "sun"...

...plus lots of Burlap Buttons & Breadless Tabs! Have fun mixing & matching! HAPPY SPRING everyone!
