Second Thursdays with Jennie McGarvey!!

Hi everyone!! Today we have some gorgeous creations from Jennie to share!!!

"I love a good sketch, it always provides a great jumping off point.  I knew that I had to use a Sketch Support sketch for these Egg Hunt photos I had to do them justice.  It was our first try at an Egg Hunt at home and I really wanted to keep the focus on the photos.  The sketched helped me do just that!" ~~Jennie

Jennie used the Audrey collection on this layout!

"We'd had so much fun with our sushi lunch and i wanted the page to really reflect that.  I used the greens in the Messages line to provide a neutral palette for the photos and the story.  I used a few die cut pieces and doilies to give the page a bit of fun and some stamping to accent the title!" ~~Jennie

Jennie used the Messages collection on this layout!

"The basically bare cupcake pieces (felt for the frosting!!) were just perfect for a whimsical birthday card.  The overall feel was perfect - not too childish but very festive and fun!" ~~Jennie

Jennie used the Audrey collection on her card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Second Wednesdays with Jodi Wilton!

Hi everyone! So excited to share Jodi's creations here with you today! She is amazingly talented, and I am so happy she is a part of this team!!

Here is what Jodi has to say about her layouts today!

"I love using Sketches, Allison's Sketch Books are a great jump start for any layout you want to create. I have a few of her books, and I always find the layouts come together quickly, and with a great finishing product!  My favorite thing about her Sketchbooks is that she has each sketch based on the number of photos you need, so you can find the perfect sketch to go with any number of photos!  I also love how she gives tips on how to change it up for each layout!  For today's reveal, I created two layouts, to show you the versatility of her sketches. Here is the first layout- double page layout featuring the EXIT HERE collection:

"I created a pocket to add as much journaling as I could, since the journey from Canada to New Zealand was quite the story.  I used Glue Arts U Cut-it to pop up the pocket." ~~Jodi

"My next layout is a tribute to my mom! She adores my kids, and I couldn't resist scrapping these cute pictures. I used the Audrey Line and the Want-2-Scrap Bling on the butterflies, as well as some Twine from the Twinery. Beacon's Zip Dry Glue is Perfect for adhering the cute butterflies!" ~~Jodi

Designer tip:
1.  Fold each punched butterfly in half.
2. Apply a thin line of glue (so easy to do, with ZIP DRY by Beacons), along the middle of the butterfly.
3. Add the butterfly in the desired spot. Allow to dry (doesn't take long at all with ZIP DRY) and then add the bling.
4. Add a butterfly trail with a black marker.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Melissa on Tuesday!

Has everyone recovered from National Scrapbooking Day?  I know that I am still a little "wiped out" from it!  Nikki and I were at our local LSS, Scrapbook Generation, doing some free mini classes for all the shoppers.  We had some young crafters also....these girls were so cute!  They are the daughters of Marla, that helps Nikki around the office kitting and getting orders together.  I couldn't resist grabbing a picture of them.

Today is Melissa Pablo's day on the blog and she has a couple of layouts to share with you.  She has been a busy girl with her Sketches for Scrapbooking book and Sketch Support sketches this month.

It's A Watermelon Kinda Day!
I've been waiting to scrap this pictures of my kiddos eating watermelon for sometime now and Allison Davis double page sketches really helped me put them all together easily. I found the sketch from her blog Sketch Support where you can easily print them out. For this layout I used the Noah collection kit which I haven't used for awhile and just love how the colors fit perfectly with my photos. I dusted off my Cricut machine and used Potpouri Basket cartridge to cut the watermelon.

Meet My Whacky Family
This layout was inspired by one of the sketches you can find in Allison Davis new Sketches for Scrapbooking one-page sketches book. I used the Messages collection, added some twine from The Twinery, Nikki Sivils Alpha stickers, and again I used my Cricut machine to cut out part of my title with the Stamped cartridge. Allison's sketches really makes it easy for me to put a layout together. I really love how they incude the measurements and the variations that you can do using the layout. Thank you Sketch Support for the awesome sketches.

Thanks Melissa for sharing your projects today.  Be sure to visit Melissa's blog to see more ideas from her.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Did you think we had forgotten?  NO, we just wanted to keep you on your toes!  We are celebrating here in Springfield at Scrapbook Generation with Nikki Sivils, Day.  Nikki and I (Katrina) are doing some fun little mini classes and there is stuff going on ALL DAY in the store.  If you are local be sure and stop by.

Now...what about our online friends?  Well, we haven't forgotten you either.  Since we are "out and about" today, we were trying to come up with something that you guys could do to win an awesome prize pack of collection kits.

Here's what I came up with.  Leave a comment tell us which collection is your favorite out of ALL of Nikki's collections.  This includes ANY collection she has ever made.

Also in the comment tell us what YOU would like to see Nikki come out with.  I am not saying that it will happen, but she would love some ideas of what her fans want!

What is in it for YOU?!  Hmmm....I dug around, made a few executive decisions and decided the following:

ONE Person will received ALL FOUR of the newest collection kits!
Exit Here, Noah, Audrey and Messages!

One Person will receive their choice of TWO of the collections kits shown above!

And finally one person will receive their choice of ONE collection kit shown above!

We are going to let comments run thru Monday, May 7th.  Your comment MUST be received by 11:59 PM on that date to be eligible.  We will announce the winner here on the blog and on Facebook later in the week.  So you will need to check back to see if you have won.

Get out there (or stay in!) and get to scrapping this weekend!  Let's celebrate our love of creating a piece of art that is fun and tells a story!

First Thursday with Marielle LeBlanc!

I wanted to let everyone know that this month is Sketch Support Month here on the blog.  Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker has teamed up with Sketch Support for a cross promotion to run all month long.  Each of the Diva's individual posts will have at least one project that is based on a sketch from the Sketches for Scrapbooking books that Scrapbook Generation/Allison Davis publish.  Allison is a local girl to us and we love her sketches, so we thought it would be a great swap!  Each of our girls got their choice of either the one page or two page sketchbook to work with.

In turn, the team over at Sketch Support will be doing a Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker product challenge each Friday in the month of May! AND be sure to check here on Fridays, because our Divas will be participating with the Sketch Support sketches here on the blog.

Also all month long, you will see some of the Diva's mixing collections.  I gave them the green light to do this, just to see what everyone came up with.

Ok, let's get to Marielle today, she has a couple of fun layouts and one using one of Allison's sketches.

I Love Being a Mom
(using the Exit Here collection)

I love working with sketches and I had a hard time choosing one to use for this layout, because they are all fantastic. Thank you Allison for sending us your beautiful sketch book !!! I plan on using them all !!

Going to Camp
(using the Noah and Exit Here collections)

I was so happy to get the green light to mix the collections this month! I love how well the Noah and Exit Here collections go together , love the red and navy combo!

Be sure to head over the Marielle's blog.  And check back tomorrow for some of our Divas takes on the Sketch Support card sketch that is up this week!!

First Wednesday with Melanie!

Melanie Jarocki is here today with a couple of fun layouts using the Sketches for Scrapbooking books.  (note...I will have more information about this on tomorrow's post!)

 Trouble
(using the Noah Collection)

I used a Sketch Support design for this layout. Originally, it was a two-page sketch but I only used the left side of the sketch for this single page. The journaling is hidden in the "About This Boy" card, tucked behind the photo. I used Maraschino twine from the The Twinery for extra accents on the page.

Basement
(using the Exit Here collection)

Two-page layouts are my favorite. So the Sketch Support book is awesome for me! I used the Exit Here collection for this fun page about my kids enjoying their grandparents' basement.  For extra dimension and detail on the page, I stitched between the photographs. I also added a little grass fringe to the house cut-out.

Be sure to visit Melanie's blog for more great layouts and projects!  And before I forget I need to announce the winners from the Glue Arts Cross Promo swap!

First Tuesday's with Deana Boston!

Hi everyone! Happy May 1st! Today Deana is sharing two gorgeous layouts with us!

"For the design of this page, I used a Sketch Support sketch.  I also used products from all 4 of Nikki's new collections to assemble my page... all the different "greens" seemed to match well.  I also created my own 3-leaf clover by hand-cutting 3 hearts and making my own "stem."~~Deana

Deana used Noah, Messages, Audrey and Exit Here all on this layout! Very cool she mixed all four collections for her Irish themed layout!

"I used the Noah collection for my page & wanted to show it's versatility in that it can be used for more than just boy-themed projects!" ~~Deana
Thanks so much for stopping by -- all this month our design team members will be sharing their takes on Sketch Support sketches!! Go check them out! Allison's sketches are always gorgeous!
