All mixed up

Hey everyone,

It seems like I've been waiting for my post FOR-EVER!!!!  My last post was way back in August, and I won't be posting in October, so.............I thought I better give it to you with both barrels this month.  I decided to create several different layouts for this post, showcasing as many Product Lines/Collections that I possibly could & mixing things up a bit.

Here goes....................

12:  Boo-tiful & Pocket of Treats {title tag}.

Backyard Lessons:  Tree Love, Willow Bee, My Sweet Cherry Pie, Victoria's StreetBurlap Buttons & packaging (title tag), Cardstock Stickers (title).
fall glow:  Blueberry Hill, Ellie's Day Out, Tree Love, My Sweet Cherry Pie, Victoria's Street, Cardstock Stickers & Pocket of Treats.
Touch football:  Tree Love, My Friend Birdie, Cardstock Stickers & Burlap Buttons.
Wide Open Spaces: Tree Love, Boo-tiful, My Sweet Cherry Pie, U R My Favorite & Pocket of Treats.
Hopefully I have inspired you to dip into ALL the Nikki Sivils Scrapbookers product lines that you own and begin to use them altogether in your layouts, cards & projects.

Have fun trying to find these layouts in the gallery -- I'm not quite sure WHICH COLLECTION I will be showcasing them in {??!?}.

Now.......get out that fabulous NS paper you've been saving for a fun day of scrappin'.........and don't forget to mix it up a bit!!!!!!

Have fun.

Summer cards

Hello everyone! I’m Lea Albers and this is my first blog post as a Doghouse Diva! This month I am excited to share a little project and two cards with you!
The new products are underway and are located somewhere between America and the Netherlands. So this month I used the familiar Willow Bee and My Sweet Cherry Pie Papers.I painted a flowerpot with acrylic paint in a nice blue color, and filled it with potting soil. I’ve used my Nestabilities to make a lid. On the top cut out flowers and a bee. In the plastic bag are the flower seeds.
Adding a matching card, also made with the Willow Bee Papers. On the card I’ve used some bling bling! A nice gift, I thought so.
For the next Card I used the easy-cut-ups from my Sweet Cherry Pie. The Card is clean and simple. Except the cutout parts I only used some 'Glossy accents' and a pearl for the spot on the Cherry.
Until next month, I'll let you see some projects made with the new products.
Enjoy the weekend!

mixin' it up .......

hello everyone -

Jill, here, on my first-ever assignment as one of the newest Dog house divas......WooooHooooo!!!! Am I ever lucky!!!!!

You will learn very quickly that I lllooooovvvvveeeeee to mix things up a lot and use as many product lines from a company as possible. In other words -- if Nikki were to ask me what product line she should send me to design with....I would have to tell her, "send me ONE pattern paper from every line you've got......I don't want anything too matchy-matchy."

That's me......the girl who can't seem to get herself to purchase more than one paper from a line. Anyone else like this....or is it just me?!?

Anyway.......I wanted to share two layouts that I have recently created with Nikki Sivils products (no ONE particular line highlighted).

Hooray for School:
products used: Flaming Butterfly: Butterfly Games, Willow Bee: Day Dreamer, My Sweet Cherry Pie: Cherry Tree, Will He B the 1: Date Night Strips, Ellie's Day Out: Ellie's Cutie Cut-Ups.
Lots of painting, stitching, layering, pop-dotting, inking, hole punching, sanding........the list goes on. Oh yeah....and lots of f.u.n.!!!!!

fishin' 4 tunes:
okay....in this layout, I tried to go completely out-of-my-comfort-zone and create a layout using more than one paper from a line (going completely against what i just told you about myself). Must admit, this is REALLY hard for me to do........I just naturally (normally) go for pattern papers that don't match AT ALL!!!!!!
products used: Flaming Butterfly: Butterfly Tag, Butterfly Eggs, Butterfly Strips; Dan the Record Man: Record Man; Bread(less) Tabs.

I used the Bread(less) Tabs to create these cute, little fish by cutting them in half, length-wise. I added a hand-cut oval from the Butterfly Eggs pattern paper. A google eye & smiley face seals the deal.
To view any of these products, click here (pattern paper) and here (Bread(less) Tabs).

Hope this stretches your creativity to grab those Nikki Sivils papers that aren't necessarily in one product line, and create fun & bold layouts with multiple papers. Now, go create something with "one from each" line. I know you'll love it!!!
smiles to all,
jill

Home Sweet Home

There is something oh so comforting about the perfect home. You know what I'm talking about right? A sanctuary filled with the things you love, the colors that inspire you and the memories you cherish. Somewhere that you can call your own and be yourself all the time.

So many of us have that haven within our homes known as the "craft space". A place that gives us security, inspiration and sometimes if we are lucky, a little bit of peace and quiet.

Hey there everyone, I'm Erika Taylor and I'm one of the new Doghouse Divas here at Nikki Sivils. Every time I say that, I smile ear to ear and start singing "Who Let the Dogs Out" woof woof woof woof...*doin the hand pump* Yup, I'm a little bit crazy, I'm Canadian and that is just part and parcel up here.

Over the next while, I hope to share with you, a little about me and what makes me tick.

Today I've got a few cards to share with you using the Bella Blue and Oscar Too collection as well as the My Sweet Cherry Pie Collection. I absolutely love the color palette in both of these and I so wish that the Cherry Overload paper came in fabric and wallpaper. That would certainly bring cheer to my crafty space.

Without further adieu, here are my cards

I did a little "renovating" to the super cute house on the Cutie Cut-Up papers. Adding some shakes on the roof and a few curtains too. The entire card pops with the help of Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots and Zapdots.

You will see that I'm a huge fan of fussy cutting and bling. Every one has their happy place hehe. I added the Canvas buttons to the flowers to give them a little personality.

Love that Houndstooth paper. Such a beautiful combination of the perfect browns and those cherries are so sweet. I distressed the edges of the circles and added a bit of ink to the mix. In my stash of ribbon {one of my crafty addictions thanks to Really Reasonable Ribbon} I found the perfect gingham matches for the card plus some super sweet double ruffle ribbon too.

Happiness is indeed Homemade and I'm feeling right at home here. Thank you so much for stopping by today and making my first post on the Nikki Sivils Blog a real treat. Take a moment and stop on by my blog too. Until next time

Toodles

Spring is in the air!

And how better to celebrate then these amazing My Sweet Cherry Pie and Willow Bee products and a little candy, gift bag!?

First of all, you need to know that it is so fast and easy to put together a little bag like this. I found the template at Mels Stamps. She has a downloadable template and it works with 12x12 paper. The entire bag was cut from a piece of yellow Core'dinations cardstock and then I cut a partial bag from the Cherry Sweet gingham print. The top edge of that was punched with an Apron Lace border punch by Fiskars.

Here is a side view.

The flower is several layers, one being from the Willow Bee stamp set. I colored it with Copic markers and then layered it with a red cardstock circle and a scallop punched circle. Of course, the middle of the flower is one of the absolutely wonderful corduroy brads that Nikki Sivils offers with her collections.

This is what it looks like when it is empty but of course, it looks cuter with the suckers!
