Sarah is taking over the My Lil Monster collection!

Layouts and cards seem to be the theme this week!  And Sarah is here with some of each for you using My Lil Monster.

My Lil Monster is one of my favorite lines so I couldn't resist using the monster theme in both of my layouts! As you can see it works for silly happy monsters and crabby cranky monsters alike! Yep both of these layouts are of my daughter Fran. One one on a good day and one on a not so good day.

On My Crabby Cranky Little Monster I used lots of different alphas from different cardstock alpha sheets and a punchout to make my title. I love mixing alpha fonts on my titles! It was a hot day at the cherry festival and I think my girl had enough pictures for one day!

I used some more alphas on the the You are so Silly layout for my title. I also added some of the alphas to the banner to spell out my daughter's name. Some ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel completed the layout.

I love all things whimsical and these little monsters are cute! I would love getting a card like this in the mail! I used the little 6x6 sheets of paper to make my cards and some of the punchouts. I also threw in some burlap buttons!

I am in love with these cards!  And the ballerina monster is my favorite!  Be sure to visit Sarah's blog also!

Some fun cards from Melissa

Today Melissa Pablo is with us on the blog.  She has made some fun cards for you out of three different collections!

Guess Hoot Loves You?
Love, love You're A Hoot! collection. The warm fall colors are beautiful my most fave in this line are the  cute birdhouses. This is a pretty simple card and all I did was used foam adhesive to add some dimension, add some bling on the birdhouse windows.
Thanks for Everything
This card was created using the Summer line and I did something new on this card and that is cutting some parts of the stamped image and layering them to add multiple dimensions. I always used some of the cardstock stickers  and cut-outs. I really enjoyed making this card.
Get well Soon My Friend
I used the Get Well Soon collection on this card and i just love the fun images specially the bandage stickers. I stitched around the punch-out cardstock and I also used Nikki's purple alpha stickers and mini alpha stickers.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

School Layouts and Cards Anyone?!

Melissa is here on the blog today and she has a few layouts and a couple of cards for you.  AND one of her layouts is a very unique size! Melissa used School is Cool on all of her projects.  She loves the basic colors, the cut-ups and punch-outs.

"Enjoy Today Card" & "You Are My Star Card"
I made some cards for my two boys who will be going back to school soon just a little something to make their first day back to school fun.

"Picture Day"
This is my eldest Justin and this was his 6th grade school photo and what a great idea to do a page for each year. I added lots of layering and dimensions by using foam dots. My favorite is the school ID card and the cut-ups camera where i adhere the blue burlap button.

"First Day"
This is my youngest boy, Joseph, and this photos was taken last year his first day at Kindergarten. Lots of cutting and clusttering on this one and again using foam dots to add dimensions. The cut-up and punch outs make it easy for me to create layouts like this.

"I Know My Numbers"
Another layout using Josephs  photo from K-grade. I wanted to document how good he was doing at school and this one was when he did count and recognized all his numbers up to 100 and how cute that he gets to be the Number King that day. This is not the typical 12 x12 double page I usually do this is actually an 11 x 16 layout. Again lots of punch-outs, cut-ups and even stickers, and red burlap button on this layout.

Be sure to visit Melissa's blog for more fun projects, ideas and inspiration from her.

Also, we had some trouble with the PayPal button for The Bee's Knees Project kit.  It is fixed now, so head on over to THIS POST and check out the fun kit!

Summer Projects from Katrina and a Sneak!

Katrina here today, with a card and layout using the Summer collection.  One of my goals for my projects was to NOT use that pink paper in the Summer collection as the main part of the projects!  I LOVE that paper and when I looked back at prior projects, well, let's just say it shows up a LOT! You will see bits of it on each project, I will admit.  Or...maybe it is that I am hoarding that particular paper?!

First up I have a card for you.  I border punched a strip of the yellow paper and then tucked it behind the blue cloud paper.  I used some designer/washi tap at the bottom and then tied some jute from May Arts close to the bottom.  I made the banner shape, added a small touch of the pink paper, some stickers that I popped up with the U-Cut It Foam from Glue Arts and then added a Cute as a Button burlap button to the top of my bow.

And then the layout. This is a very basic page with no journaling, but I thought the photos told the story pretty well and I really wanted the focus to be on the pictures. Bonus is that I wanted to make a quick page and with the scalloped paper it makes it easy to do.

I love banners and I decided not to cut this one apart and just have it hang like a canopy over my picture. I knew the banner from the 6x6 mini paper would be my go to banner, because of the size of the photo.  You can also see how I cut the border strip of words up from the 6x6 mini paper and accented my photos with them.

The fun chipboard sun from Basically Bare.  Perfect accent for the Summer collection.  I covered with pattern paper, using my Fabri-tac liquid adhesive (LOVE THIS STUFF!) and then every other ray I then covered with some designer/washi tape.

And finally, a little peek of something that I have been working on with Nikki.  Watch for additional peeks this week on the blog.  The full reveal will be in August and you will be able to get in on the fun!!

And that is it from me today here on the blog.  Thanks for visiting!  Be sure to check back tomorrow for our Guest Diva, Delaina Burns!

Marielle Inspiration on Friday

Marielle is here today with us on the blog.  She played with Audrey and the Summer collection this time around.  Marielle also used a lot of our cross promotional partners on her layouts.  Basically Bare, Want 2 Scrap, The Twinery, and Beacon Adhesives are all present on her projects today!  (Way to cross promo Marielle!)

Party Dress
I used the Audrey collection for this layout of my sweet little niece. She just loves to dress up and I thought this collection would be perfect for this photo of her in her Christmas party dress.

Playtime at the cottage
The Summer collection is just so fun to use on all of your summer photos. It has so many fun elements and I loved creating this layout of my niece at play at her grandparents cottage a few years ago.

Out hiking the Fundy Trails
I also used the Summer collection for this layout of my"boys" hiking last summer. I really wanted to bring out the orange colors of this collection ( one of my favorite colors to use on layouts) by adding a layer of orange cardstock and how cute is that little orange camera cut up !!!

Bonne Fete Card
I made this card for the little Miss on the layouts on this blog post ,she just turned 6 !! Summertime is the perfect time to get a Birthday card with ice cream cones on it !! Am I right? Yum ...I love ice cream!

Thanks so much for visiting the blog today. Hope you'll be back soon for more inspirations.
Marielle

And I would like to remind everyone to visit Marielle's blog for more amazing creativity from her!

Ms. Sarah on Thursday

Sarah has a jammed packed project post today.  She worked with the School is Cool, Summer and Audrey collections for her projects.

My Pre-Schooler

I know it's still summer, but school will be starting soon and it has inspired me to create this layout of my little pre-schooler. School is Cool is perfect for all the back to school layouts. I used the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge to cut the little pencil and the word notes.

While the School is Cool paper was out I created a few back to school cards too. In the School is Cool collection there is one sheet of paper divided into 4 mini 6x6 sheets. I cut these sheets out and they are the perfect size for making cards. Now all my cards are ready for my girls' first days back at school. I used the cricut Simply Charmed cartridge to cut the box of crayons.

Snip, Snip

Of course Audrey is perfect for all things girl! My sweet girl kept asking me to take her to get her hair cut. I kept putting it off because really I didn't want her growing up any faster! But I finally gave in. I think I was more nervous than she was! On this layout I used a paper piercer to poke holes around the patterned paper and then hand stitched using the holes I poked as a guide with embroidery floss. A little scotch tape helps hold down the floss on the back of the page. I used the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge for the poodle and Simply Charmed cartridge for the little pair of scissors.

Summer at the Carnival

One of my favorite releases is Summer! I just love the little critters on here. I love it so much I have just about used all my papers. I created several layouts, cards, and a mini album all from just the collection pack. I still had a few sheets left for this layout and card. My favorite sheet in the collection is the scalloped notebook paper sheet. Love it! I trimmed it on one side and arranged my photos in a grid here.

For my card I punched a circle and handcut some rays for the sun.

Whew, I am worn out from all that creativity in those projects!  Be sure to visit Sarah's blog also!!

Melanie is our Friday girl today!

Melanie Jarocki is here on this fabulous Friday with a couple of card and a couple of layouts to share.

Oh Snap Card
The camera cut-up from the Exit Here collection was perfect for this sentiment with belated birthday wishes. In addition to the Exit Here papers and die cuts, I used the red mini letters from Nikki's collection, twine from The Twinery, and an SRM sticker sentiment.

#1 Fan Layout
My little guy gets toted around to his older siblings sports events all year. So I thought it would be fitting to make a layout documenting that he is their #1 fan. The Noah Collection provided the perfect game-day colors and images for the layout. I love all the die-cuts and cut-outs in Nikki's collections. They make for the perfect page embellishments. I also used my Slice to cut out the #1 and then used a white gel pen to fill it in. I added in some more pen outlines in red, white stitching, and edge-inking to finish off the page.

Celebrate Card

My daughter was attending a friend's birthday party and asked me to make a card for her. Her friend, Cora, loves ballet and bright colors. So, I turned to the Audrey collection for it's colors and feminine patterns. The ballerina image was cut with my Slice machine. I added some yellow tulle and beading with Beacon's 3-in-1 adhesive to make the dancer's tutu. (BTW, I saw Cora and her dad the next day. Cora told me how much she loved the card, and even her dad mentioned that it was really neat. LOL).

Always Layout

I broke from my traditional 12x12 format and made an 8-1/2x11 layout for this photo of my son. I used the Messages collection to match the photo's outdoor, masculine image. But because of the message I wanted to convey, I added in the heart images to form a visual triangle around the page.

Well that was a lot of goodness to share right there!  Thanks Melanie for taking the "holiday" spot on the blog!

Be sure to visit Melanie's blog also to see what she has been up to.

Jodi on Wednesday.

Jodi Wilton is here today with a couple of layouts and a card.  She used the Summer collection also.  I can say the Divas are having fun with it!  Let's hear from Jodi.......

I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer! Nikki's Summer collection is PERFECT for all of your summer photos! I can't  get enough of it! For my first layout I created a layout of my kids having their first summer ice cream! I think this was my youngest daughter's very first full ice cream cone!  I love all the cut up's in this collection, and of course with all the ice creams, it was perfect for these photos! Here is the layout I created with some close ups:

For my second layout, I decided to cut up the die-cut sheet to create a fun border.  I love the doubled up scalloped edge!  I created the flower with with a a heart punch, and used the burlap button as the flower center. I love the little stickers in this collection too! I made a small cluster of embellishments to go with the journalling sticker.  Finally I added a cute Baker's Twine bow!  Here is the layout:

The card I created came together easily because I loved the little sticker with the birdie on it! I cut out one of the two birdies, to make it my focal point of the card! I also used some bakers twine to finish off the card.

Fun projects from Jodi today, don't you think?!  Be sure to visit Jodi's blog also!
