Some old, some new and another winner

I have some wonderful work to share from some of our design team Divas, but first we need to announce the winner of the Animal Attraction Challenge.  So sorry, it's been a little crazy around here and I totally forgot to announce the winner.

Our winner for the challenge is Nicolle!  Her blog "NicollelovesScrapbooking" is located here.   I love how she layered and added so much detail to her layout.  She combined collections and came up with a wonderful, fun, bright layout that I love!  I also love how she used the "Bread-less" tabs to make a banner!

Nicole, please email me at cardipaws@sbcglobal.net with your mailing address and your choice of a paper collection and we will get your prize out to you in the mail!

Now some work from our Divas.  I just love seeing how everyone does different things with the papers, the creativity is just amazing!!

First we are going the something old route with a layout using the Beatrice collection.  Jennifer Yates can rock both one page and two page layouts and this one is no exception.  I love the fact she used the scalloped die cut papers for her two page layout!

And then we have Diva Deana Boston.  She has such a fun style and I never know what she is going to come up with.  She used the new School is Cool collection for her layouts this month.

On this first one, she used pictures of herself, her husband and then their daughter all at the same age!  What a fun and unique idea to combine all those pictures from the past and see what the future brought!

And I LOVE that Deana included her daughter's class photo in this layout!  (I know that I can't remember who was in my classes and what year!)  Such a fun idea to do!

That's it from me today!  I think I might even drag out some scrap supplies and create something!

I have got some fun stuff for you today from Mimi, Jennifer, and me too!  I also have some pictures of some new scrappers that Nikki and I met at ScrapaPalooza yesterday!!!

A local radio station and our local store, Scrapbook Generation, puts on a
13 hour mega crop 3 times a year.  Each time the crop seems to get bigger!
Nikki sponsors the free mini classes that are done thru out the day.   Here are some pics from yesterday.  I didn't get very many, I was too busy having fun!!!

Yeah...she really is that cute!!

Nikki and I...I was getting tired by this point!

Nikki with Leola Sally and Angie Langwell after they finished their mini class.  I know that this was the first time that Leola has scrapbooked and she did GREAT!!!!!  (Hi girls!!!)

Now, let's get to the projects!!!!
Diva Mimi Leinbach created this fantastic layout!!  She used the We Are Family collection, Cute as a Button Burlap buttons, her Cricut Expression with the Storybook cartridge and bling from Want 2 Scrap!!!

Next up is Diva Jennifer Yates who has done a super cute two page layout with It's Your Day! She also used the Cool Cord Brads!

Last up from me is an altered tree made from Beatrice!  I am not going to lie, this thing took a while to create!

That's it from me this wonderful Sunday morning....I think I am going to go enjoy the day!!!

It is officially Summer...need some project ideas?

Well, yesterday was officially the first day of Summer!
I spent it working all day and then getting this blog post ready!
If you find that in the summer you are so busy that you just can't seem to get any projects done
(or your mojo goes on vacation along with everyone else!)
maybe these projects from some of our
Divas will help you out!

First up is Linda Beeson with a couple of cards! She used Summer and We Are Family.

Close up of that adorable banner she did!

Linda used her Cricut Expression to cut the watermelon!
watermelon cut from Doodlecharms cartridge at 3 inches

Next up is Lea Albers. Two page layout lovers check this out!   This diva has created a couple of two page layouts from Allison Davis' Sketches for Scrapbooking! And I love the fact that she also included close ups of each page for you to look at!

Using the Summer collection

And using Beatrice

And then we have Rae Barthel.  She has done amazing cards for you again.  She has taken the same basic design concept, but used two different paper collections.

Using It's Your Day for the first one!

And using Summer for the second one!

Well, that's it for me!  Nikki and I are attending a local mega crop put on by a local radio station and Scrapbook Generation, our local scrapbooking store.  We will be teaching three mini classes for the attendees.  I will try to get some fun pictures from the event and post them this week!

June's Guest Designer is Frances Sylvia!

Help me give a big welcome to Frances Sylvia.  We are so excited to have her as our guest designer this month.  Frances is super talented, and I am sure you are going to love what she has made for her guest spot with Nikki Sivils.  You can check out more of Frances' work on her blog "Forever and a Year".

Here is what Frances had to say:

Hello my name is Frances Sylvia and I am from Many, Louisiana. I am a spoiled wife, mother of 4 (all under 9 years old…shew!), Junior High Remediation teacher, and a totally addicted scrapbooker. My greatest inspiration comes from my family and friends in the photos, but I am also inspired by sketches, patterned paper, and what product I am currently swooning over. My style has evolved like most, but I usually create whimsical layouts with clean lines. There are a few elements I can not leave off a layout these days, such as, hand or machine stitching, doodling, threaded buttons, and layering. Since my time is mostly devoted to being a wife and mother, I believe that scrapbooking should be FUN!! There is no greater pleasure for me than to enjoy my family, put the kids to bed, and relive the memories that we created once again.

Now how about some of her amazing layouts!

Isn't the layout above just adorable?  The blocking is great and the added die cuts of ice cream cones and the ice cream truck make it just that much sweeter (sorry for the pun).  I also love the misspelling of the work "Kool".

On this layout isn't it clever the way Frances used Nikki's scalloped paper and cut the edges off to make scalloped strips?  Again, Frances used the diecuts to perfection.  Frances used Nikki's Summer Collection for both layouts above.

This layout is so sweet. The layering of the journaling spot, words and buttons are amazing. Frances used the Beatrice Collection for this darling layout.  Beatrice and those trees make the perfect touch for this layout.

Well, I hate to say it, but that is all the eye candy we have for you.  There just never seems to be enough when showcase our guest designers.  Frances, you did a fabulous job with Nikki's papers, and we are so honored to have you as our guest this month!

Lots of Goodies!!

I have lots of goodies to share from some of the design team Divas!!!  I think you are going to like them!

First up Ria Mojica with a little of the "We Are Family" Collection!!  I am "mclovin'" the fact that Ronald has made his way onto the Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker blog!

Next up we have Delaina Burns.  She used the "Beatrice" collection.  I love those rolled edges!

Then we have some wonderful projects from Jen Matott using the "Beatrice" and "Summer" Collections.

First a card with Beatrice

Next a two page layout with Summer

Then finally a cute little baby set made with Summer

Ekk...love the shoes....she found the instructions in a magazine!

And then Leah Farquharson used "It's Raining, It's Pouring" and "Max and Mollie" collections.

I am loving this banner strung on the mirror!!!

That's it for today!!  And for everyone wondering we are getting instructions for that cute little cake and present set that design team Diva, Lea Albers, did for a previous post!  We will post them here.  AND, be watching, I have in my possession the instructions to design team Diva, Jen Matott's, famous rain boots that she made for the Winter CHA booth.  I will be posting them here soon!

Are You Foolin Me? April Challenge

Hey everyone!!  Hope everyone has enjoyed their April.  First things first, let me announce our winner from last month's Are You Feelin Lucky? challenge.  Our winner is Karen aka Soccerboyzmom.  You can check out her blog HERE.  I chose this layout, well because it is about "her" lucky dog!  Seeing that I did a layout last month of my darling lucky dog, I felt I would just keep it going.  Karen's doggy is a sweetie.  Here is her layout:

Karen used Sugar Cookie for her adorable layout above.  Karen, please email me at susanintheuk@hotmail.com with your full name, address and your choice of a paper collection.

Our April challenge this month is "Are You Foolin Me?".  Since April Fool's Day rolls around every April 1st, I thought it would be cute to do layouts or cards about funny things.  This is what the girls came up with this month:

The layout above and below are both by Deana Boston.  Hee,hee I especiallly like that photo above!  Deana used the Summer Collection on the above layout and the Beatrice Collection on her layout below.

The photo on Jill Hildebrand's layout below.  Obviously that is a "bad dog"getting on her new outdoor furniture (and no doubt slobbering on it - that is what St. Bernard's do right?).  However, what I think is so funny it her cat sleeping on top of the dog.  Umm...this for sure would not happen in my household.  Jill also used the Summer Collection for her layout.

Wow, I seriously love this layout below by Ria Mojica.  The details are just fabulous!  Ria also used the Beatrice Collection for her layout.

Here a layout by Leah Farquharson.  Looks like someone was caught in one of those surprise moments.  Leah used the Summer Collection for this cute layout.

The next one is from Julie Tucker-Wolek and she chose to document the funny things her daughter says! I just love her layout and Julie used the Summer collection for her layout!

I hope you enjoyed everyone's work.  If you would like to play along for your chance to win some of Nikki's adorable papers, please link your work to this thread. You have until May 28th to link your project!
Also, be sure to check back tomorrow!  I will be announcing a big contest, but that is all I am going to tell you for now.  You will just have to come back to see what it is all about.

Until then!
Happy Crafting,
Susan Dupre
