Day Two of Elmer's Craft and Tell Challenge! Come on in... prizes to be won! :)

Hi everyone! :)

Julie here with you today to give you some more inspiration from our DT using Nikki's papers during the Elmer's Craft and Tell Challenge!!!  :)  Make sure to visit all the girls that are featured today and yesterday and then comment on here to let us know you visited everyone to get a chance to WIN some FABULOUS Elmer's goodies!! We are going to have two winners, one from yesterday's post, and one from today! WOOO HOOOOOO! Thanks to Elmer's for sponsoring our prizes! :):)

Today's inspiration is coming from...

Julie Tucker-Wolek (that's ME!)

First today we have Leah :)

Here is what Leah has to say about her project! :)  "I loved working with the products that they sent - it's always great to be able to try different types of adhesives, and see how you feel about them! They also sent great stuff from X-acto! I love, loved using the scissors {I think my old fiskars just got trumped}, and the fun pink mat they sent as well! This was me curled up on the floor crafting in front of the tv the other night until my eye lids were just toooo heavy"

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE what Leah created! :)  Leah used Summer on her layout! :):):)

Next we have Mimi and an ADORABLE sign she made for her garden! :)
Here are the products that Mimi used:
Elmer's Bi-Fold Foam Board
X-acto Scissors
X-acto Cutting Mat
X-acto Gripster Cutting Knife
Elmer's Craft Bond Glue Spots
Elmer's Craft Glue
And Mimi also used Nikki's  It's Raining, It's Pouring collection! :):):)

I love love love this Ice Cream Truck Money Tin that Rae made using Summer!  How STINKIN' adorable is this!?!?! Rae will have full details on how she made this on her blog :):):):)

Next from Liz we have two GORGEOUS layouts! Liz has this to say about her layouts: "I added fabric to Nikki's crown chipboard album with the Elmer's fabric glue.  I also used the glue dots and the tape runner.  I use Elmer's all the time!" :):)

Liz used We are Family on this layout! :)  Isn't it just BEAUTIFUL!?!!? :):):)

And here is Liz's second layout using Beatrice ! I just loveeeeeee this! :)

And lastly today, we have three projects from ME! :):):)
These are the products I used on my projects :)

My first project I made using several of Elmer's adhesives and Elmer's gel pens and the Summer line! :)
I used this cool tool to make some circles! :):):)

And here is how the whole layout turned out! :):):):):):)

And here is a layout I made with Elmer's glue and We Are Family! :):):):)

And last but not least, I want to share a projects I made using Elmer's Craft Foam Board! My daughter Brookie just recently graduated from Pre-School and they gave her a little diploma...and I knew it would get 'crushed' in a scrapbook page... so this was perfect for it!! :) Again, I used We Are Family on this plus lots  Elmer's glue dots :)

I made the owls using my Cricut Expression, Want2Scrap.com's bling for their eyes and Elmer's Painter Markers for their noses and wings! :)

Elmer's glue was PERFECT for holding her diploma on here! :)

Divas vs. Elmer's Craft and Tell Challenge!

Hey there!!  It's Katrina and today is the day for our reveal of the results of the Elmer's Craft and Tell Challenge that some of us at Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker took!  There are TWO teams of us!  Julie Tucker-Wolek and I headed up separate teams.

There are also TWO prizes from Elmer's to be won!  One winner will come from this posting and one winner will come from Julie's posting!  For the details on how to win, see at the end of this post.

And by the way, my team is the most wonderful and the BEST.  (just sayin' Julie!)

Katrina's Team:
(my post will be on my blog on Saturday to leave a comment)
First Diva up is Delaina Burns.  This girl can rock some layouts and this one is no exception.  Delaina used the We Are Family collection.  The Elmer's products that helped her get the job done were the
Xacto Craft Knife, Elmer's Glue Stick and Elmer's Craft Bond Glue Spots.

Be sure to visit Delaina's blog today!!

Second Diva that took the challenge is  Linda Beeson.  Linda creates such beautiful cards and occassional layouts for us, but look at what she did here!!!  An altered frame!  Linda used the It's Raining, It's Pouring Collection and some of those wonderful Cute as a Button Burlap Buttons.  She also used her Cricut Expression with the Home Accents and Doodlecharms cartridges!

Here are the fun products that Linda worked with, she took a picture of them before hand!
To see the COMPLETE step by step tutorial on how Linda created this wonderful frame (including the sizes she cut her Cricut pieces at), please visit her at her blog!

Challenger number three..Diva Sarah Eclavea!!  She used the We Are Family Collection on her project. AND this was perfect, because it really was a FAMILY crafting affair!  Her 2 year old daughter helped her make this!  Here's a quote from Sarah:

This is not exactly what I imagined, but it was fun to make! I decorated the front and my daughter (2 years old) decorated the inside. So the story behind this is.... My daughter is addicted to a show called Go Diego Go. Diego rescues animals and has an animal rescue center. She calls this her animal rescue center and puts all her little toy animals that she rescues in it. She picked the paper and stickers to decorate the inside. That's why there's a bunch of animal stickers in there.
Be sure to visit Sarah's blog for additional pictures and info!!!  Sarah used the Elmer's Craft Bond Glue, Glue Stick, Foam Board, Paint Markers, X-Acto Mat, Craft Knife and Scissors on her project!

Next Diva up for the challenge is Jennifer Yates!  She created and adorable layout with the Beatrice collection and she also used those Cute as a Button Burlap Buttons!  Be sure to visit Jennifer's blog!

And then there is me!  I created a wall hanging out of the We Are Family collection, with some Cute as a Button Buttons and Warm Cord Brads!

I used the Decorative Scissors to craft my flowers!

Then the neatest thing I tried was the Paint Markers on the chipboard!  OMG....they worked wonderfully and made the chipboard almost look like suede!!!

So, I bet you are wondering what YOU need to do to win some fun Elmer's products?  Well, just visit EACH of the Diva's projects on their blogs and leave a comment.  All of their blog links are at the beginning of this post.  After that come back here and tell me.  You will have until June 12th at midnight CST to leave comments (this applies to Julie's post and her team also).  Come back on this post for a chance to win the prize that I am giving out and then you will need to post on Julie's for a chance to win hers!    We will announce both winners on the evening of June 13th.

Paying it forward...

One thing I love about my country is that we as a nation come together to help people we don't know or will ever meet.  A little over a week ago an EF5 tornado hit our sister city, Joplin.  (Joplin is a little over an hour west of us.)  I can't believe the people that have come to help the people of Joplin from all over the country, I've heard of a group of people from Wisconsin that have collected thousands of children's books to send to Joplin so the children in the shelters can have a few minutes of getting lost in a book. There are hundreds of stories just like that... of people coming together for strangers. It warms my heart and I've teared up more than once over the stories of recovery and the stories of strangers helping strangers. I'm amazed at the kindness and generosity shown to the people of Joplin from everyone across the country.

With that said my company is hosting a Scrapbooking drive!

I recently found out that the displaced children that are living in shelters are very bored with no books, games, etc. So Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker sent 13 boxes of older inventory of scrapbook papers and stickers.  The kids were really excited to receive these items. These kids have been through so much. Few have homes that weren’t completely destroyed and many have lost family members, friends and pets to the EF5 tornado.
I personally have some friends that live in Joplin that are scrapbookers and have lost everything! All their supplies, paper, cardstock and albums have been destroyed by the tornado.  We crafters know how much this hobby means to us and how we feel while we are creating a scrapbook layout or card. Imagine, in what seems like the blink of an eye, losing everything except the clothes on your back.
Well, lets help them out!
The deadline is June 22, that should give me enough time to sort and organize before getting it to Joplin to pass out to the local scrapbookers!
Thanks ahead of time for anything you can do!

Now on a lighter note, The Craft it Forward blog hop is all about creating a card for soldiers to say thank you for your service, patriotic thank you cards. Here is my take of this project:
