Diva Time!

I don't know about you, but it has been a heck of a week for me!  Emergency vet visits for all three dogs, which all are fine and doing better now.  They all managed to sprain a leg, with the two boys the exact same one.  Ella, on the other hand, hyper-extended hers so it was a little more severe.  Then computer hard-drive was failing, so off to buy a new one.  This has seriously cut into my scrapping time!!

BUT, the other Divas have been super, super busy and I have lots to show you.  So, lets get to it!

First up is Lea Albers.  Altered printer trays are hot right now and Lea did a fabulous job on this one with the My Lil Monsters collection.

She mounted items on foam board so that they would stand up.  Which I am loving this idea and might have to borrow it from her!  In her detail shots, you can see exactly what she did.

Next up is Linda Beeson.  She is usually a Card girl, but here she is showing us that she can create more than just cards!  She has created two layouts for us this month.  This one is with the
 It's Raining, It's Pouring collection.

Linda's Layout Removed for Publication!!!!!
Linda used her Cricut Expression on this layout.
She did the title witht the Stamping Cartridge cutting it at 2 inches.

And then she used the Storybook cartridge for her flourish cutting at 5 inches.

And then Linda used our new collection, Get Well Soon for this adorable layout.
And I love the pictures on this layout!

I love the trail of die cuts behind the ambulance!

Next up is Rae Barthel.  She has created a BUNCH of fun stuff with the School is Cool collection!!!

This pencil holder was a HIT at CHA on our Make n Take table.  You can't see it, but the pencils are glued around an empty coffee can.  We had people grabbing the pencils on the outside, because you couldn't see down in it!  Everyone was laughing about it.

And to go along with the pencil container, she created this sticky note holder.  What great back to school gifts for your kid's teachers...hee hee, or yourself!

And here is a card to go along with the gift!!

A fun little bookmark!

An altered mini composition book.  This is adorable!!

And a cute little card to give your "smarty pants" after a good day at school!

Next up we have a couple of our Internation Divas that are joining in our post today with Lea, Rae, and Linda!

First is Ria Mojica, with an fun layout about her son dressing up in costume!  I want a mask like that!

She used the My Lil Monster collection, which is PERFECT for documenting things like this!

And last but not least is Mette Kallander.  She used the Get Well Soon collection to create a layout about her sick computer.  I know how she feels in that area!!!!

We took the month of July off for the monthly challenge, but it will be back again at the end of this month.  I will tell you, there is a hint in this blog post about the challenge!!
I will let you try to figure it out!

Also, tomorrow we have a special blog posting for someone special, so please come back.  This is something that we want EVERYONE to join us in.  Look for that post on Monday!

Have a Scrappy Kinda Day!!~~Katrina

It's a Boo-tiful Monday!

It's a Boo-tiful Monday here at Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker and I have some really fun projects to share in getting ready for one of my very favorite holidays: Halloween.  I think I have more fun scrapbooking photos for this festive celebration than any other holiday.  How can you not love black, orange, purple and green all mixed up together???  I'm getting a little giddy anticipating the end of this month and another year of photos.  What are your super cute little stinkers going to be this year?
Aren't these Boo-tiful papers and embellishments so much fun???  I love the bright colors mixed with the distressing and the ghosts are pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself.   Perfect for my little spooky girl.  She loves this holiday as much as I do and still insists on wearing her costumes all year round.
I mixed one of Nikki's cute little Craft Flags in with the ghosts and added the sentiment, "Boo!"  I also inked the edges with some chalk ink to make the white flag stand out more against the spooky white ghost.  Then I tied on a little polka dot bow for some added fun.
Nikki's Burlap Buttons make the perfect finishing touch by adding a little interest and texture to the layout.  The thing I love most about these, is you just stick the little suckers right onto the project.  No sewing necessary and no need to add adhesive.  I also used my Cricut to cut this shape in the striped paper to break up the squareness of the layout and then used the shadow feature to cut the black mat.
Nikki adds so many cute embellishments right into her papers.  I used a 1 1/2 inch circle punch to pull this pumpkin out of one of the papers.  Then I inked the edges and pop-dotted it to make it stand out more.
This card completely cracks me up!  I used one of the chipboard ghosts from Nikki's awesome Ghost Mini album that is currently being featured in this month's Creating Keepsake Magazine (see below).  I am a big fan of Nikki's 6x6 patterned papers and this striped paper is the perfect background for this spooky little guy.  I cut the sign from the embellishment page in Nikki's Boo-tiful papers and added the sentiment with some of her sticker letters from the Tree Love Collection.
Can you see it in the Number 1 spot???  We are all very excited about being featured, especially since we know how much fun Nikki's Chipboard Mini Albums are.  Make sure you check out the others HERE.
I'll close it out with one more card.  I can't seem to get enough of these frightening little ghosts, so I had to add them to the bottom of this card along with a big "Boo" sentiment which I cut with my Cricut using more of the 6x6 Boo-tiful patterned papers.  Hope you all have as much fun creating this month as I am...and don't forget to grab some of Nikki's Boo-tiful collection before it is all gone :)

Thank you so much for stopping by - Liz

Spring smiles

Hi there, it´s Monika here from chilly Sweden where fall is quickly approaching. Today I´m hoping to inspire you with a few layouts and a bottle full of love.

This is a really quick and easy layout with a photo from taken day after midsummer, I have used the Blueberry Hill collection and just added a few ribbons to it.

I really love some of the simple and clean layouts I have seen lately, but making one myself is a real challenge for me. Here I have used papers from the Boo-tiful line, I flipped the scalloped edge paper to reverse, white, side to make the border under the photo. The journaling is about my beautiful nice whom I love dearly.

This is my last layout, here I have used digital layouts as inspiration to achieve the layered look. The road sign decoration is a printed digital element and the bar code thingy was on my mascara. Al the papers are from the Tree love line.

This month I will have to spend two weekends away from my daughter. It´s very rare that I´m not home when she goes to bed and I will definitely have a hard time to be without her. I know she will to. That is why I made this little milk bottle for her and filled it with kisses, hugs and “I love you-s”. I explained to her that every time she misses me, she just takes out a note, reads what is on it and knows that she got a kiss, hug or “I love you” from me because that is what I have put on each piece of paper.
I have used the Pocket of Stickers-Red Crosshatch to decorate the jar.

Perfect for fall, nephews and so much more.

Hello from a local girl! I'm Stacey Atchley, member of Nikki's Local Design Team and I'm thrilled to have the chance to show you a couple of projects I've finished using some of Nikki's awesome new paper lines!

Having worked in our family scrapbook store for nearly six years now, one thing I'm constantly amazed by is the lack of papers that will fit a "boy" themed page very well. For a girl with two of the most handsome little nephews on the planet, I'm always struggling to find just the right papers to enhance the thousands of amazing pictures we have taken of them over the past five years. (Thousands is probably an understatement. If Drew & Jackson understood what the word paparazzi meant, they would probably think they were surrounded by them at most times). Lucky for me and all of you looking to create "boy" themed pages, two of Nikki's newest lines - Tree Love and My Friend Birdie - fit the bill perfectly.

"Drew and Me"

For this layout, I used papers and stickers from the My Friend Birdie line. One of my favorite additions to Nikki's collection are the tiny letter stickers. So versatile and easy to use, and most importantly...plenty of vowels! And of course, another added bonus is that the Bread{less} Tabs, Craft Flags and Canvas Buttons seamlessly tie into all of Nikki's lines!

My next layout features papers and stickers from the Tree Love line.

"Every Second Of Every Hour..."

Again, I think I've proven that I am madly in love with the tiny letter stickers! They make incorporating a large title into a small space not only easy, but eye catching. I think it's probably safe to say that this is my favorite line to date. Love the colors, love the Cut-Ups, love how easy it is to use!

With summer winding down, and autumn right around the corner, these two amazing lines can help make any of your fall projects a breeze.

Blueberry and a little Tree Love....

Hey Everyone....I just have one question...is it HOT where you are? This heat is about to get the best of me. I am a winter girl....bring on the snow!!! But before we can do that we have to celebrate Fall!

I was lucky to get to work with the Tree Love collection for CHA projects! I ADORE this line.
And the addition of the cardstock stickers and the letters is so fun!!! You get a lot of letters (big and mini!) that you can use on multiple projects. And the fun stickers too!!! So, here is one of my layouts that I did with this line....I love the color in the Fall. I might have "tweaked" the color a little in these pics, but I am not telling!!!

And that beaver?? WELL, the entire design team has decided that beaver ROCKS!!!!! I just wanna hug him....maybe we could get Nikki to do a stuffed animal out of him!?! LOL LOL
Here is a close up....and yes....that is the way I feel about summer!!! Those Craft Flags are great for picketing signs!!! hee hee

And for Blueberry Hill, I created a fun little card!!! Have you ever made an easel card?? I hadn't until this one. It is super easy and fun to do. If you would like a tutorial on it....leave a message in the comments and maybe I can get one on here if there is enough interest. It lays flat to give and then it stands on it's own, so that you can enjoy it after receiving it!!! (sorry I didn't get a pic of it flat!)

I hope I have inspired you to create some fun Nikki projects!!!! And remember, if you make something with Nikki Sivils products, you could be featured here by our Blog Hostess with the Mostest....Julie Tucker Wolek! Just make sure and let us know!!!!

Have a Scrappy Kind of Day!!~~Katrina
