Happy Thursday....Creative Diva's Are In The House!

So, the weather is starting to cool down here just a bit.  Which means schools are starting, moms have more time to themselves...(well, until the practices, playdates, and fundraisers start up) which in turns leads to more scrapbooking!!!
School is Cool is a GREAT collection for this time of year and the diva's have been busy!

Our first two layouts are from Delaina Burns.  I love the doodled circles that she did on this first layout!

And this one, is just adorable!!  I love how she used the triangle banner pieces not only up in the corner, but as a border above and below her picture!

Next up is Jennifer Yates.  She has a couple of great one page layout to share today.

I love the scene she created with the schoolhouse and bookworm by adding some grass!  And the way she did the banner rocks too!!

I love all the stars on the side of this one!

And last, but not least we have Leah Farquharson.

And Leah created this one about her son being in third grade!  I love the big circle!

And don't forget about the HUGE card drive Nikki is having for little Olivia.  You can read about it

Some old, some new and another winner

I have some wonderful work to share from some of our design team Divas, but first we need to announce the winner of the Animal Attraction Challenge.  So sorry, it's been a little crazy around here and I totally forgot to announce the winner.

Our winner for the challenge is Nicolle!  Her blog "NicollelovesScrapbooking" is located here.   I love how she layered and added so much detail to her layout.  She combined collections and came up with a wonderful, fun, bright layout that I love!  I also love how she used the "Bread-less" tabs to make a banner!

Nicole, please email me at cardipaws@sbcglobal.net with your mailing address and your choice of a paper collection and we will get your prize out to you in the mail!

Now some work from our Divas.  I just love seeing how everyone does different things with the papers, the creativity is just amazing!!

First we are going the something old route with a layout using the Beatrice collection.  Jennifer Yates can rock both one page and two page layouts and this one is no exception.  I love the fact she used the scalloped die cut papers for her two page layout!

And then we have Diva Deana Boston.  She has such a fun style and I never know what she is going to come up with.  She used the new School is Cool collection for her layouts this month.

On this first one, she used pictures of herself, her husband and then their daughter all at the same age!  What a fun and unique idea to combine all those pictures from the past and see what the future brought!

And I LOVE that Deana included her daughter's class photo in this layout!  (I know that I can't remember who was in my classes and what year!)  Such a fun idea to do!

That's it from me today!  I think I might even drag out some scrap supplies and create something!

Layouts, a tree, and ScrapaPalooza

I have got some fun stuff for you today from Mimi, Jennifer, and me too!  I also have some pictures of some new scrappers that Nikki and I met at ScrapaPalooza yesterday!!!

A local radio station and our local store, Scrapbook Generation, puts on a
13 hour mega crop 3 times a year.  Each time the crop seems to get bigger!
Nikki sponsors the free mini classes that are done thru out the day.   Here are some pics from yesterday.  I didn't get very many, I was too busy having fun!!!

Yeah...she really is that cute!!

Nikki and I...I was getting tired by this point!

Nikki with Leola Sally and Angie Langwell after they finished their mini class.  I know that this was the first time that Leola has scrapbooked and she did GREAT!!!!!  (Hi girls!!!)

Now, let's get to the projects!!!!
Diva Mimi Leinbach created this fantastic layout!!  She used the We Are Family collection, Cute as a Button Burlap buttons, her Cricut Expression with the Storybook cartridge and bling from Want 2 Scrap!!!

Next up is Diva Jennifer Yates who has done a super cute two page layout with It's Your Day! She also used the Cool Cord Brads!

Last up from me is an altered tree made from Beatrice!  I am not going to lie, this thing took a while to create!

That's it from me this wonderful Sunday morning....I think I am going to go enjoy the day!!!

Divas vs. Elmer's Craft and Tell Challenge!

Hey there!!  It's Katrina and today is the day for our reveal of the results of the Elmer's Craft and Tell Challenge that some of us at Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker took!  There are TWO teams of us!  Julie Tucker-Wolek and I headed up separate teams.

There are also TWO prizes from Elmer's to be won!  One winner will come from this posting and one winner will come from Julie's posting!  For the details on how to win, see at the end of this post.

And by the way, my team is the most wonderful and the BEST.  (just sayin' Julie!)

Katrina's Team:
(my post will be on my blog on Saturday to leave a comment)
First Diva up is Delaina Burns.  This girl can rock some layouts and this one is no exception.  Delaina used the We Are Family collection.  The Elmer's products that helped her get the job done were the
Xacto Craft Knife, Elmer's Glue Stick and Elmer's Craft Bond Glue Spots.

Be sure to visit Delaina's blog today!!

Second Diva that took the challenge is  Linda Beeson.  Linda creates such beautiful cards and occassional layouts for us, but look at what she did here!!!  An altered frame!  Linda used the It's Raining, It's Pouring Collection and some of those wonderful Cute as a Button Burlap Buttons.  She also used her Cricut Expression with the Home Accents and Doodlecharms cartridges!

Here are the fun products that Linda worked with, she took a picture of them before hand!
To see the COMPLETE step by step tutorial on how Linda created this wonderful frame (including the sizes she cut her Cricut pieces at), please visit her at her blog!

Challenger number three..Diva Sarah Eclavea!!  She used the We Are Family Collection on her project. AND this was perfect, because it really was a FAMILY crafting affair!  Her 2 year old daughter helped her make this!  Here's a quote from Sarah:

This is not exactly what I imagined, but it was fun to make! I decorated the front and my daughter (2 years old) decorated the inside. So the story behind this is.... My daughter is addicted to a show called Go Diego Go. Diego rescues animals and has an animal rescue center. She calls this her animal rescue center and puts all her little toy animals that she rescues in it. She picked the paper and stickers to decorate the inside. That's why there's a bunch of animal stickers in there.
Be sure to visit Sarah's blog for additional pictures and info!!!  Sarah used the Elmer's Craft Bond Glue, Glue Stick, Foam Board, Paint Markers, X-Acto Mat, Craft Knife and Scissors on her project!

Next Diva up for the challenge is Jennifer Yates!  She created and adorable layout with the Beatrice collection and she also used those Cute as a Button Burlap Buttons!  Be sure to visit Jennifer's blog!

And then there is me!  I created a wall hanging out of the We Are Family collection, with some Cute as a Button Buttons and Warm Cord Brads!

I used the Decorative Scissors to craft my flowers!

Then the neatest thing I tried was the Paint Markers on the chipboard!  OMG....they worked wonderfully and made the chipboard almost look like suede!!!

So, I bet you are wondering what YOU need to do to win some fun Elmer's products?  Well, just visit EACH of the Diva's projects on their blogs and leave a comment.  All of their blog links are at the beginning of this post.  After that come back here and tell me.  You will have until June 12th at midnight CST to leave comments (this applies to Julie's post and her team also).  Come back on this post for a chance to win the prize that I am giving out and then you will need to post on Julie's for a chance to win hers!    We will announce both winners on the evening of June 13th.

Also here are some fun links for you!  Go to their Facebook pages and tell them that the Divas from Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker sent you over!!!!

Happy Easter Everyone!

If you have little ones, I hope the Easter Bunny has dropped plenty of eggs in your yard.  If not, then I hope he still came to visit!

Let's see what some of the girls have been up to this month.  To start us out how about this sweet Easter layout by design team diva Jennifer Yates.

Jennifer used Max & Mollie on this layout.  The Max & Mollie collection is the perfect line for an Easter layout with those cute little bunnies!

I love the title on Jen Matott's layout above. It is obviously about breast cancer awareness.  How perfect the pink is for a layout like this.  Jen also used Max & Mollie.

I adore the happiness in Delaina Burns layout.  The Summer Collection  just seems to fit those happy smiles on her daughter's faces.  Below is another layout she made using Summer.   It is so precious how she used the bird and the dragonfly to hold the banner.

It seems that two page layouts seem to be making a comeback.  I am seeing them more and more.  How perfect that Jennifer Yates made this wonderful layout using We Are Family.  Isn't the detail fabulous in her layout.  Just look at the sun!

This layout below by Julie Howard just makes me smile.  I love the added milkshake as well.  Julie also used Summer on this layout.

To top it off how about this little mini book by Mimi Leinbach. Mimi used the Beatrice Collection for her mini book. Little Beatrice looks so cute there amongst the grass and trees.

I hope you enjoyed the girls work today!  Have a great one!
