The Winner of "Creative Spaces" idea book & We Are Family papers...

is Charity who said: Oh to have my very own room. Right now we live in a small house and I had to decided between a guest room or a craft space. My in-laws come frequently (which I love) and I opted for guest room. That means I have my sewing stuff in my closet and my paper stuff in the dining room. It isn't ideal, but I love how it's helped me to be more mobile with it. Usually I scrapbook at the dining room table, but the way I have things set up I can go to the living room and use the coffee table or put my board on the stove (not the best place, I know...but sometimes there isn't anywhere else) and craft there. I love the mobility of it!
Congrats Charity please email me your shipping info and I'll get it to CK so they can mail your idea book to you and I'll get my paper line "We Are Family" to you later this week! My email is in the header.

I have a short blog post today because...
Bella (my Yorkie) and I were asked to come to our local community college to hang out in the commons area so the students can pet and visit with her to reduce their stress and anxiety during finals week. Bella is a pet therapy dog here in our home town so that's why she was asked so we are off this morning to hopefully make a few kids smile and laugh before their finals.

Hope you have a great week!!  -Nikki

Ok, Blogger is Back for a Bit!!!!

Well, that was quite the Blogger fiasco!!!!  Hopefully, everything is up and going smoothly if you are reading this.  And hopefully you are able to comment!!!

First of all a little reminder that Nikki has a giveaway going on and you can read about it HERE.  She has extended the deadline because of all the blogger issues.  So, you still have a chance!  And if you left a comment before, please make sure it's still there.  Some comments were deleted and there is no way to get them back...boo.

Now, let's get to some fun projects!  I am excited that I get to share some projects from Deana Boston and Mimi Leinbach!  Love both their styles and can't wait to share what they did, so let's get to it!

Deana used It's Raining, It's Pouring on this layout!
I love that she added google eyes to Tubby the Turtle!

And how cute is this birdhouse?!  Deana used the Summer collection on it!

Mimi used the We Are Family for this adorable layout.
I love how she used the Burlap Buttons in a whimsical way at the end of her title!

Next, Mimi altered some jam jars using the Max and Mollie collection.
I wonder if I could get her to drop them in the mail to me?!
(wait...there's no jam...just beads, buttons and brads)

Well, that's it for me tonight (or today when this posts!)  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I will see you in a few days for my regular girls posting!!!!

Have a Scrappy Kind of Day!!~~Katrina

Postponed my "Creative Space" giveaway until..

until Monday.  I've had several email from some ladies that their comment won't post or can't even log in to blogger so I'll announce the winner on Monday mornings post. That should give blogger the time it needs to get fixed and for everyone to try again. I know blogger is having some major issues with its users so hopefully they can get it resolved soon. More on the giveaway below.

However we have made a decision on the winner from the Newsletter giveaway... it was a hard choice with some awesome layouts about why they need a Cricut!
The winner is....
Diane Iversen who entered this layout to win the Cricut:
We thought it was so funny and we agree you do need a Cricut!

We also picked an honorable mention, Stacy Rodriguez!
Your layout was so pretty that I just had to share it!
Thanks to everyone who entered in the contest!
Don't forget to sign up for my newsletter for future contest!
(You can sign up at the top of this blog on the left side column.)

Also don't forget to leave a comment on Wednesday the 11th of May's post to win a copy of Creative Spaces (below) and my We Are Family paper collection!

I couldn't leave here today without a picture of at least one of my pups... right! So here is our Bella-Blue at the ocean, we took her with us a couple of weeks ago to San Diego, CA.  We had a great time with her and she loved the ocean, as you can see...
and here are some of our vacation pictures...
Bella at the airport flying from Missouri to California.
Still at the airport, we had a long layover in Dallas.
Finally the ocean...
All the restaurants were pet-friendly so Bella sat under many tables waiting for scraps to "accidentally  fall"!
We didn't realize that the pavement got really hot even when it was only in the 70's until we noticed poor Bella scurry to any bit of shade she could find. Then I knew something was up and I felt the pavement and it was hot so back to being carried around like the princess she really is!

What's better than a ball on the beach?
Rocks on the beach, Bella loved the rocks, I suspect it was good hunting ground!
The hotel we stayed at had the most beautiful grounds so she got lots of playing "fetch" everyday!
There are times that its just too hard to give the ball up, even if all you want is someone to throw it...

Our last morning in Del Mar, CA we had breakfast at this little nook, hidden off a side street, it was wonderful! And there were 5 other dogs hanging out with their humans too!
Bella still waiting for crumbs to fall.
Look at this huge really interesting tree that was on our hotel grounds.
It was really beautiful!

That's it, hope I didn't bore you with too many "vacation" pictures!
Have a great weekend! -Nikki
