Cards, Cards, Cards

Hello it is Christine here today to show you some cards that I have been making. I have had lots of reasons to make cards lately. There have been birthdays, graduations, a thank you or two as well as a head start on a Father's Day card. There is one thing that you might notice about all of the cards. I created the cards using a lot of the cut -ups that you will find in each of the paper lines. I love these fun images. They are the perfect way to embellish your card.
Dan, Dan, the Record Man was the line that I used for this card. The record player, and the arrow were cut-ups that I used on this card. I love using this line for masculine cards. After cutting out the shapes I used pop dots to adhere them to the card to give them dimension.

My next card also uses cut-ups from the Will He B the 1 line. Don't you just love that milkshake? It looks real enough to taste or maybe I'm just hungry right now. LOL! Behind the cut-up I used my Spellbinder dies to cut out a scalloped oval and a matching oval shape. This was the perfect backdrop for my cut-up. I further embellished the card with some burlap buttons, (love, love, love these) and some border stickers from the Pocket of Treat sticker sheets that match this line.

I actually did not use a cut-up on this graduation card. I wanted to keep it simple. So I just stamped the speech bubble and the sentiment inside and then stamped the owl oval tummy on the back of the orange patterned paper and cut them out. I guess I sort of made my own cut-ups didn't I?

One thing that I love about Nikki Sivils paper is that each line comes with it's own matching 6x6 paper pad. These work so well for card makers because the patterns are the same but the scale is reduced. So all of the fun detail is retained but it perfectly proportioned for cards.

My last card uses Bella Blue and Oscar Too patterned paper and cut-ups. I also found some matching flower stickers and photo corners on a Pocket of Treats Sticker sheet to add as embellishments. All of the flowers are pop up for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created this month. I hope that I have inspired you to make some cards for your family and friends.
